There are so many things that I enjoy, and I couldn't possibly list them all, but here are a few of the things that bring me thrills:
I love writing to pen pals , both through email and snail mail. I also collect postcards because I love to find out about places and people in different states and countries. I've always thought it fun to compare different cultures, costumes and languages with my own, and I'm constantly surprised to find out how much we all have in common. Thanks to each and every pen pal or email friend that have made corresponding such a joy!
Acting always brings me thrills! I enjoy not only being on stage, but I also enjoy watching the great actors at work. There is something incredible about the bright lights, the prose, the costumes, the make-up and the music of a good musical. It's a world of magic and fantasy; no wonder musicals are so popular and so expensive. :)
To cuddle down in a cozy corner with a good book is also something that I simply love. I enjoy most of the books that I read, but recently, my favorites are the books based on history. Some of my favorite authors are L. M. Montgomery, Jane Austen, Louisa May Alcott, Robin McKinley and Charles Dickens.
I like to imagine that I'm one of the great authors myself and maybe someday I will be, but so far, I haven't attempted to write anything greater than a short novel about fairies for children and several short stories and poems. A few of my works have been published in books and magazines, but I still have a long climb ahead of me if I want to reach any great heights in writing.
Photography is one of my newer interests. Last year, I got my first camera and though I've always loved looking at a pretty picture, I have come to appreciate pictures even more since I've tried to take some of my own. It is so neat to get the newly developed film and see what I've been able to do with my little pocket-sized camera. Who would have thought that one little box could capture moments and make it possible to save them forever?
I really enjoy cooking for friends and family, especially the sweet things
