REUNION EVENTS:

Sept. 12th:

Registration  approximately 11am to 6 pm
Evening Cocktail Welcome for all 6 pm

Our tour director will be HAWTHORNE TOURS.  Our tours will be outside the city to areas we have not visited before, seeing and learning about the heritage of the area – Ex: the textile industry, the whaling industry, lobstering and how to eat one!.

Remember that all tours have been planned for leisurely, accessible and yet interesting events.  Also, remember that you are free to choose any, all, or even none of the events.

Sept. 13th:

A half-day trip to the mill town of Lowell, MA where we will relive the time of the Industrial Revolution where our Grandmothers accompanied their mothers to the mills, worked 12 hrs a day at 8 years old.  We will experience the roar of the 1920's weave room in an 1870 mill housing 88 operating power looms, interactive exhibits and video presentations. We will learn about the sometimes dangerous labor of the workers during those times.  We will visit a mill boardinghouse where we hear the stories of the young girls who lived there. Following the tour, a delicious lunch is included.

COST:  $45.00 per person.
Departure 8:30 am.  Return approx. 2 pm.

Our very important business meeting, where the fate of our future get togethers will be decided, will be held upon our return.

Dinner will be on your own – free time to enjoy a quiet evening with special friends.

Sept. 14th:

Coast to Maine leisurely ride up the coast to Ogunquit, ME, a quaint community boasting fun New England town shops.  We then tour the coast on the lobster boat, the Finestkind, where we will have the opportunity to see lobstering first hand. Our lobster bake will be at Bill Fosters in York, ME.  (A land lubbers menu is available)  On the return trip we will stop at other enjoyable ventures along the beautiful New England seashore.

COST:  $60.00 per person.
Departure 8:30 am.  Return late afternoon.

This trip is considered a full day, thus a later return to the hotel.  Dinner will be on your own – again, free time to enjoy a quiet evening with special friends.
