 Huson Cemetery
Town of Brant, Erie County, New York
1809 - 1962

Located three and one half miles East on Route #249 from Brant Center
and one half mile west on 249 from North Collins, at the corner of the Mileblock Road.
It is a Quaker Cemetery and was a family burying ground which has been cleaned
up by the Town of Brant. The first burial was in 1828, and the last 1962.

Note: Earlier stone listed as burial in 1813.

Some of the stones were creek stones and have deteriorated and most likely a number of graves are not marked.
The first of the Huson Family was probably Wing Huson, born 1798,
who married Ann Cole, who died 1835. His second wife was Lydia, daughter of Enoch Taylor.
A son, Leaner Huson, was a a Civil war veteran.

Page 244 of Erie County History, by Truman C. White, 1898 errs concerning the Huson Family,
mistakenly naming L.J.Huson for Wing Huson.
