The SE-R has the 2 liter, 140 horsepower, 132 lbs of torque, 16 valve, DOHC, aluminum block and head engine. Also refered to as the SR20DE that first appeared in the Infiniti G20. The SR20DE had a 7500 RPM redline and was designed to have good low and medium speed torque, but also deliver high-RPM power. The SE-R also got a close ratio 5-speed (with a lower final drive of 4.18:1), 4-wheel disc brakes (with larger, vented front discs and optional ABS), a viscous limited slip differential, stiffer springs, stiffer struts and anti-roll bars at both ends.
