THE QUMRAN NAME OF GOD

Now the question is: How did sound those letters: ?

Let's consult greek, since some of the actual letters still resemble those ancient ones: The letters Epsilon is a short E, as in egg; while Etha is a long E, as in hair (it is so explained in the Online Course indicated in a preview page. Any other source A B C D says that is the greek Epsilon, as in Egg. None of the source says that it sounded as Alpha. So, by those reference sounds, we get the first sounds:

=IESE

Is the S an unexpected letter?. No, since many know that the ancient name of God had S (or Sh):
The name of G-d consists of four Hebrew letters, Yud, heh, vav, heh. The Jewish sages used the vowels of Elohim in order to get the closest manner in which we pronounce His name. The first breath a child takes when he takes in breath of life comes close to the pronunciation of His name. During the Feast of Sukkot, thousands of pilgrims wave the lulav in unison... the sound it gives comes close to the sound of His Name. The Jewish sages say that we will know the true sound of His name when the four letter shin is introduced. This four letter shein is on the Tefillian that is placed on the foreheads of the Jewish man during prayer. If you are familiar with the letter Shein on Jerusalem, see Hebrew Roots notes, the fourth letter shein will form when Messiah places His foot on Mt Olives.

Those of the Qumran's Caves also used the Tefillian , which means that this knowledge comes from tradition of those who used to see the name of God written in the forehead of the Levitic High Priest.

The Jewish sages, for sure, know the actual jewish letter Y,h,v,h , and are completely sure that these letters ARE NOT the right name, but a CODE.

So, the name of God HAD,HAVE and WILL HAVE S (or Sh), which means that any name without the S is incomplete and false. The Jewish sages don't speak of the five(fith) letter shin, but of the FOUR letter shin, which seems to indicate that one of the heh must be removed. (In the Lachish Inscription and in the Qumran Scrolls the last E in the name of God is wider that the first).

The Qumran Name of God confirms the affirmation of the Jewish sages: The S (or Sh) is in the Qumran Name of God, as we have seen. Was Josephus wrong as he mentioned the four vowels?. No, The Lachish Inscription shows the four vowels, as seen in the encircled name:

So, joining both versions, because one must not reject none of them:

it results one of the following names: or or

Yeshue, YeshUsh and Yeshu are strange names?

Flavius Josephus mentions one priest name Jeshua and other called Jesus:

BOOK XI.CHAPTER 4.-1. NOW in the seventh month after they were departed out of Babylon, both Jeshua the high priest, and Zorobabel the governor, sent messengers every way round about, and gathered those that were in the country together to Jerusalem universally, who came very gladly thither.

CHAPTER 7. 1. WHEN Eliashib the high priest was dead, his son Judas succeeded in the high priesthood; and when he was dead, his son John took that dignity; on whose account it was also that Bagoses, the general of another Artaxerxes's army, (22) polluted the temple, and imposed tributes on the Jews, that out of the public stock, before they offered the daily sacrifices, they should pay for every lamb fifty shekels. Now Jesus was the brother of John, and was a friend of Bagoses, who had promised to procure him the high priesthood. In confidence of whose support, Jesus quarreled with John in the temple, and so provoked his brother, that in his anger his brother slew him.

The Sanhedrin 43a mentions Yeshu:

"It has been taught: On the eve of Passover they hanged Yeshu. And an announcer went out, in front of him, for forty days (saying): 'He is going to be stoned, because he practiced sorcery and enticed and led Israel astray. Anyone who knows anything in his favor, let him come and plead in his behalf.' But, not having found anything in his favor, they hanged him on the eve of Passover." (from Sanhedrin 43a)
So, these three names existed in the real Hebrew names.
