A CHANGE OF HEART!   Certain Public Laws allow for the services to appoint "DoD Police" at their installations with certain standards, practices and powers associated with these appointments.

I (am) used to be of the opinion that, *contrary to popular belief,*  the only *DoD Police* are the ones that work at DoD facilities.  Civilian police working at Army or Navy, etc. installations can be found at that service's section on this site.
