ASSOCIATIONS

National Guard Association of the United States: The National Guard Association of the United States, or NGAUS, was created in 1878 for the purpose of providing united National Guard representation before Congress. The NGAUS has the goal of obtaining better equipment, standardized training and a more combat-ready force by petitioning Congress for resources.

National Infantry Association: The purpose of the National Infantry Association is to preserve and foster a spirit of good fellowship among military and civilian persons whose past or current duties affiliate them with the U.S. Army Infantry. To advance the status, espirit and knowledge of those persons who are engaged in the Infantry Branch.

Operation Desert Storm / Shield Association: ODSA is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide assistance to Gulf War Veterans, their families, civilians and current Active Duty military members.

Veterans of Foreign Wars: Veterans Benefits, VFW National Head Quarters, Veterans Insurance and much more.

Leadership: Part of the CAL website, mentioned above, this one page is an outstanding leadership resource.

FM 22-100 Army Leadership: The new Army Leadership FM, dated AUG 99. This link will take you to the Table of Contents.

U.S. Army Developmental Handbook: This is a "Draft" and a "Work in Progress," however, it is an outstanding source of information. Originally, the Army developed the Leader Development Handbook (LDH) solely with officers in mind. Currently, its scope is being expanded to apply to all Army leaders at the direct level.
