Some Details and Quotes

"Dave Haddock is one of those rare performers who combines the fine art of songwriting with a special craft of musicianship in a way that is uniquely our Canadian own. If the Yukon had Living National Treasures for music, Dave would be my first choice, and on top of it all the kid has pipes!"

  - David Essig

"Dave has become a staple performer for the Dawson City Music Festival. We are certain his performances will be energetic, humorous, innovative and successful...True to form the audience is always left captivated and a little out of breath!"
- Dawson City Music Festival

"I haven't had so much fun since the pigs ate my brother!"
  - Vicki Gabereau

You've heard of the Cotton Bowl..the Rice Bowl...
Well, this stuff comes from the very depths of the Hyper Bowl!

Okay..we all know that this biographical info is an extravagant
exaggeration of the truth. Hyperbole...hype, and somewhere it
says that this is what a person has got to do these days.

There he is again!

There is no need to lie about Dave Haddock. Dave was born to sing, and play, and write songs. He's been doing this all his life, and professionally for almost twenty years. He's good at it.

Dave is greatly loved wherever he performs his particular blend of soulful folk funk junk. He'll make you laugh, cry, sing along (if you're not careful), and get up and shake your thing, or things as the case(s) may be.

Dave is recording a new CD out in Surrey at Magic Lab Studios, with producer Andreas Schuld for ear/muff music, part of the brouhaha records group. The tracks are coming along nicely, and everyone is having a grand time. The players include Paul Bergman on standup bass, Chris Nordquist on the drums, Andreas Schuld on guitars, Tim Porter on guitar, Jesse Zubot on violin and mandolin and Darryl Havers on keyboards. Dave plays acoustic guitar and sings. The album's working title is "Keep It Simple" , and will be released by the BrouHaHa Records Group.

Dave's first CD, Oil & Water (produced by the Juno award winning Bob Hamilton) is on Caribou Records, and was entirely recorded and produced in Whitehorse, Yukon, where Dave spent many formative years. Oil & Water showcases his considerable songwriting talents, as will Keep It Simple, and if you like these recordings, you'll be overwhelmed by his live performances. If you want to experience heart and soul on stage, Dave Haddock is the guy.

These days find Dave in Vancouver, B.C. where he plays in different bands under assumed names, such as Lumpy, or Woofy, or even as himself gigging at the Fairview on Broadway, or singing those blues at Tony Robertson's Super Session at the Yale Hotel on Monday nights.
