Here you will find little tibits of interesting info on the series that Jeffery O' Kelly himself sent me.
Doctor Snuggles Doll: At one point a Doctor Snuggles doll was created by Jeffery O' Kellys partner at the time, Angela. It was taken to FAO Swartz, the big toy company in New York. A Mr. McDermott came hurrying down the stairs and asked Jeffery if he had published a book or a television series. He had'nt. Then he asked how many dolls Jeffery had. Jeffery replied he only had one which was a prototype. Mr. McDermott said that unless Jeffery had a factory gaurenteeing production that he could'nt do business with them.
Lord Louis: At one time Jeffery lived in Ravenrock, a bird sanctuary in Delaware. It was a fabulous place owned by a wonderful lady called Barbara Coar who wrote operas and had a tame duck named Lord Louis. Later on Jeffery called Madame Dumpitoos greyhound Lord Louis after that immortal duck.
Woogie: Jeffery was helping a friend of his, the photographer, Peter Simons, with a film. Peter had a est while girlfriend at that time who had a charming son with the unusual name of Woogie. He asked Jeffery if he could put him in Jefferys great creations. Because Jeffery liked his unusual name he immortalized it as Woogie the Freckled Camel.
Douglas Adams and the other Writers: Douglas seemed to share Jefferys form of strong imagination and fantasy. After they toyed with the original work they would enhance the series with their talents and then Jeffery would rewrite and give the shows his final polish.
