As we entered
Cane Garden Bay, we encountered some strong wind and heavy rain. There are several
shallow reefs at the entrance that can make going into the bay tricky, even in good
weather. We did make it in without any problem. Its interesting to note the
in my previous trip here in 1984, we encountered the same type of weather going into the
bay.
After the rains past,
we had dinner on the boat and went ashore to Quito Rymer's bar. We were fortunate
that he was there playing. Quito was described and the BVI's answer to Bob Marley.
The next morning, we went back ashore and walked to the Callwood Distillery. This
is still a production distillery.

We had to buy a bottle of rum in order to be allowed to take these pictures. How
was the rum? A little better than the distillery looks! (not much, though)
Later that morning, we sailed to Little Harbor on Jost van Dyke and stopped at
"Sydney's Love & Peace". Its a bar and tee shirt place. A real
"dive". We left quickly.
We motored
"around the corner" to Green Cay. We had lunch and snorkeled for a while
before sailing on to Great Harbor to visit Foxy's.
On to Foxy's
