That evening we had dinner at Foxy's. The menu had a dish which I tried called "De Best in De Islands Chicken Roti". It truly was great! Our server happened to be Foxy's daughter. When I was here in 1984, I happened to take some pictures of her when she was 6 or 7. I gave her the slides to give to Foxy. She was very surprised to see something like that. Unfortunately, Foxy was not there this evening. This trip the anchorage was very crowed when we arrived and we had quite a challenge to find a good spot. It turns out we really didn't find a good spot (as far as anchoring goes...). We nick named one of the boats near us the "4 Bare Breasted Woman" for the attire they wore (or didn't). It just so happened that the wind shifted that evening and we ended up bumping their boat at 4AM. They have a few words for us... We then tried to wake up and get our wits about ourselves and find another spot to anchor. After a few more hours sleep we went back to Foxy's to look around. Foxy happened to be there! I introduced myself and told him about the slide I had given his daughter the night before. He was really excited to get the picture. We sat and visited a while with him. He played the guitar and sang for us. He even made up a song for me as I took off my hat (something about taking off my hat and seeing that I had no hair).
We spent the rest of the morning visiting with him and had lunch at his restaurant when he left. After lunch we sailed to Soper's Hole. On to Soper's Hole |
