Generals Love

columns Do you run the site by yourself?
In the beginning, it was just little ol' me, and then life suddenly became totally overwhelming and time consuming. I had less and less time to work with GL, so not wanting to let my brainchild dissolve into internet oblivion, I enlisted the help of dear Venusian Goddess. She does most of the bulk work these days: updating fics, fixing links, and answering any questions that I can't.

How often is the site updated
Stories are posted every Friday night, or at least over the weekend. So long as there's stuff in the mailbox, the site will be updated every week. Other things like fixing links or updating other parts of the site happen as time permits.

Do you read all of the stories that you post?
I try to. The short ones I usually read because... well, they're short and won't take too much time for me to read. The longer ones I try to read in my spare time. I would like to be acquainted with all the stories I host, so I will read them all someday, promise! I have read at least half of the stories that I've posted so far. Anyways, there is a slight ulterior motive to me hosting this site, I get lots of gen/senshi stories sent to me! *L*

How do I format my stories? Will you format my story for me?
Please read the submissions page, there's a quick tutorial. I suppose I could format for you, but even *I* have a life outside the internet, and I do have to fulfill that first, so I may not always have the time to format your story, which leaves it in limbo in my computer disk...

Can you write the teaser/summary for my fic?
Sure, but my teasers always come out forced. Teasers come out better when the author writes them because they write it with full understanding of their story. Also, I don't always have the time to read your fic right while I'm sorting it and uploading it, so my teasers will only be based on the first few paragraphs that I have time to read.

I'd like to recommend a fanfic/fanart.
By all means, please do!!!

What's your image policy?
I don't have a problem with you taking a picture and printing it out for your own collection, but a lot of these images I did edit myself. Please don't take my images. If you find that there is something that you desperately *have* to have for your webpage, ask me first. You'll find that I am actually a reasonable person. (Most of the time... =) My image policy is this, those images that are scanned from the artbooks or cards or etc., the ones that are available to everyone on the planet, those are free for the taking. That's what they're intended for. The ones that people spend hours editing for themselves, that's a whole different story. Unless they do it for an image shop or what have you, those images are made for them. Call it selfish if you want, but it's how many feel.

Can you add my link to your page?
For now, link exchanges will be put on a slight hold while I try to filter out present links. If you're page is good enough, I'll find it on my own. =) I don't, however, have a problem with you adding my link. ^_- (I know, I sound really snobby and prissy and all that...)

Do you want to be my email buddy?/How come it takes you so long to respond to my email?
Sure, I'd love that! Though honestly, I don't always have the time. Which is why sometimes it might take awhile before I respond to everyone's letters. I know it's rude, but even though I'm late, I always try to reply anyhow. Better late than never!

Any questions not answered here, just email me (LadyMars@hotmail.com). There were other things I might have added except that they are answered on other pages on this site. For example, read the Fine Print and I'm sure many of your questions should be answered.
