Generals Love

If you've read fanfiction as long as I have, you'd know that virtually 75% of SM fanfiction is about Usagi and Mamoru, and why not? It's a beautiful love story of two soulmates in which their love was so powerful it transcended time and space.

And while some of those fics of Serenity and her prince are beautifully written and bring forth new dimensions of their relationship, their story has pretty much been told by Naoko Takeuchi herself, by way of manga and anime. So we laugh, we cry...

What of the inner senshi? Throughout the entire series, four beatiful women, each with their own endearing qualities, are without true love. Why is that? Naoko must've had her reasons, and us diehard SM fans have probably elaborated on almost all of them, but perhaps she left the inner senshi alone because she knew that they were waiting for their someone.

It is said that once upon a time in a land far away, the four senshi of Princess Serenity fell in love with the four guard of Prince Endymion. The specifics are blurred but Naoko dropped several hints and clues in the manga (the anime makes no mention) of the romantic involvement between the tragically star crossed lovers. Certainly, the biggest clue was her painting in BSSM Artbook 1 in which she placed an inner senshi with a general.

The story that Naoko intended to tell of what happened or what will have happened may never be known, but here, Generals Love brings to you a collection of fanfics and fanart that brought one simple picture to life.
