Cardassian Fighter

These small, fast and deadly craft usually operate in groups of three as is typical of the Cardassian fleet. They are 85.78 meters long, 60.14 meters wide and 12.43 meters high and carry a crew of 30.

They are powered by possibly 2 warp systems and several impulse systems and can reach a maximum speed of Warp 9.5.

Armament consists of at least 4 spiral-wave disruptors and one medium aft disruptor wave cannon. The existance of other weapons is classified.

There has been some speculation that the design of the Cardassian Fighter was based on the Federation ship the USS Defiant, obtained through covert means. I strongly disagree with this assumtion and maintain that it was Starfleet spies that compromised our fighter designs for their Defiant!
