Brew With A Friend Day Maple Porter Ingredients for 10 gallons: All-Grain 15 lbs Pale Ale Malt, Hugh Baird (Mash) 1.5 lbs Crystal Malt 60L, (Mash) .75 lbs Chocolate Malt, (Mash) 3 lbs Munich Light Malt 10L, (Mash) 1 lbs Cara-Pils Malt, (Mash) 4 ozs Kent-Goldings Hops, 4.5%, (Boil 90 Minutes) 1.5 ozs Kent-Goldings Hops, 4.5%, (0 minutes, Off Heat) 1 tsp Irish Moss 6 lbs Maple Syrup, Add after wort is cooled and before pitching yeast 2 tsp Gypsum, in boil kettle 1 pkg Wyeast 1028 London Are Yeast Boil Time 90 Minutes Mashing Procedure: Mash Efficiency: 80% Add 6.64 gallons of water at 172 F to heat mash to 155 F Sparge with 7.31 gallons of water to yield 10.00 gallons to primary Water Absorbed by Grain: 2.13 gallons Water Evaporated during boil: 1.50 gallons Starting Gravity: 1.066 Target Gravity: 1.014 Alcohol: 5.5% IBU: 32.0 SRM: 41.5

Winter Warmer (Wassail) Ingredients for 10 gallons: All-Grain 20 lbs Gambrinus 2 row Pale Malt 6 lbs Munich Malt, 20L 2 lbs Crystal Malt, 60L 1 lbs Crystal Malt, 40L .5 lbs Chocolate Malt 1 oz Columbus Hops, 90 minutes 1.5 oz Kent Goldings, 90 minutes 1.5 oz Kent Goldings, 20 minutes 1 tsp Irish Moss 6 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice, half in the boil, half for 20 minutes 1 oz Vanilla Extract, when wort is cooled 1 pkg 1728 Scottish Ale Yeast, Wyeast, Small Pack Mashed in with 9.2 Gallons of water at 178 degrees, mash for 90 minutes, start sparge with 170 degree water, collected 11.5 gallons of wort, boiled for 90 minutes, caramelized wort from start of sparge Mash efficiency: 80% S.G. 1.080 IBU's: 46.0 Color: 51.5 SRM Alcohol: 7.8%
