Kel. Kristy, and Sheila were hanging at the record store talking about the latest BSB Single, I Want It That Way. "I'm so glad Kevin gets a part in this song. His voice so vibrates me." Kel said.
"Well, I'm happy that Kevin gets to sing, too, but he doesn't vibrate me. Howie is the one that vibrates me." Kristy said as she went off in a daze to Kevin Land.
"Well, Kel, Kevin is hands off to you."
"Sheesh, Sheila, I don't want him. Well, as long as Brian is single I don't want him." Sheila flung a CD at Kel. "Girl, I was just joking. Sheesh, I'm way too stuck on Brian for me to be ga ga ga and them some more ga over Kevin."
"Guys," Kel said in a soft voice. "It's Spring Break and I love two things in life, adventure and the BSB. I wanna do something and i want my friends to come with me."
"If it involves the BSB I'm in." Kristy said. "So what are we going to be doing?"
"I want to take a road trip."
"Road trip?" Sheila's attention was caught. "Where do I sign up?"
"Well, I want to go around and go to all the cities the BSB went to on their US Tour of '98. I figure we start it off by going down to Orlando."
"Girl, do you have any idea how many concerts the BSB did? The tour was from July till September. That's a long time." Kristy said not to enthused.
"So? I wanna have some fun. We don't have any jobs or boyfriends obligating us to be here. Why not have a little fun before we are 30?"
"What the heck, I'm in. I have nothing better to do, but I am gonna have to take Bubby with us." Sheila said.
"Bubby? Isn't that the name of your sister's cat?"
"Cool, you remembered Kel."
"Wait we are gonna bring a cat?" Kristy said. "So the three of us and a cat. What the heck, who knows, maybe I will meet Mr. Right on this little adventure. So when do we leave?"
"Tomorrow at 6a.m.." The girls had their plan
set and Kel was the most enthused about it. Stepping foot on the same ground
as the Backstreet Boys, that made her smile.
The next morning Kel picked Sheila and Kristy up at Kristy's house. They were all ready. "Nice wheels Kel. How the heck did you afford that?" Kristy said as she flung her bags into the trunk.
"I borrowed if from my brother. Now lets get a move on guys. Orlando here we come!" Kristy and Sheila finished throwing their stuff in the trunk and soon they were on their way.
They were driving down the highway with the wind blowing in their hair and the BSB on the radio. ".....my life the way, that keeps you coming back to me, sometimes I wish I could......"
Sheila drifted away from the others singing to the BSB and broke into her own song. "Oh wont you take me to funky town......"
Kel pulled to the side of the road and slammed on the breaks. "SHEILA MARIE, WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN SING DISCO WHILE THE BSB ARE ON!!!!! Girl if I wasn't so nice I would make you walk the rest of the way to Orlando. Disco? I mean HELLO!!!!! I know you are older then me and were alive during the disco era, but girl, the BSB are the ultimate."
Kristy caught her breath from having the life scared out of her by Kel's dramatic stop. "Kel, I love our boys too, but I have to draw the line at almost killing my friends for them."
"Sorry, I'm a bit edgy today. We are almost to Orlando, so lets just finish getting there." They drove the rest of the way singing to the Backstreet Boys and the soon forgot anything and everything that was on their mind other then the BSB.
They had gotten off the highway awhile back and were now just going down side streets. Everything was going great until Kel heard a bang and smoke started coming from the engine. She quickly pulled over to the side of the road and hopped out to inspect what the matter was.
She flipped up the hood and nothing but smoke came pouring out. "Great! Just great!" Kel slammed the hood shut.
"What's the matter Kel?" Sheila said as she was writing BSB on Kristy's arm with a marker.
"I don't know."
"Why don't you go up to that house up there and ask if you can use the phone?" Kristy said as she finished painting her toe nails the BSB colors.
Kel looked up at the house. It was rather huge and she figured a maid would probably come to the door and ask her twenty questions before letting her use the phone, but she figured it was their only shot of getting the car fixed. So she agreed to it. "Stay here. I will be back in a bit."
Kel walked up to the door and rang the bell a few times. She was just about to leave when the door opened up. "Can I help you?" The voice said.
Kel was faced away from the door, but she knew that voice. "Brian Littrell?" She quickly turned around. "Ok, maybe that smoke from the car went to my brain and I am hallucinating."
Brian laughed. "Nope, I'm the real thing." Brian looked Kel over from head to toe. "So I'm your favorite Backstreet Boy."
"Hmm... what? How did you....." Kel quickly remembered that she was wearing a BSB tang top, a BSB fisherman's hat, jean shirts with a BSB logo patched on to them, and she had a tattoo of a cross with a red ribbon wrapped around it that said BSB on it. The Brian thing was a dead give away because she had written on her other arm a big heart with the name Brian in it. She knew she had to look like the hugest stalker in the world and that Brian would never believe this was just a chance meeting and not planned out. "Yeah, you could say I might like Brian a little more then the rest of the guys, but I do love them all."
"So, you were saying something about a car and smoke?" Brian motioned for her to come inside.
"Yeah, my car, something is wrong with it and I came up to your house hoping I would be allowed to use the phone." Kel stepped inside. It was huge and so beautiful.
"I'd be happy to let you use the phone. You can use the one in the kitchen."
"Thanks, Brian."
"Anything I can do for a fan."
They walked into the kitchen and Tyke spotted Kel immediately. He didn't recognize her and felt it was his duty to protect the house so he went running up to Kel barking at her.
Kel jerked backwards and found herself hugging Brian. "Don't worry, Tyke won't bite."
Kel realized she was holding onto Brian and was a bit embarrassed. She backed away from him. "Sorry, it's just that I have a tiny fear of tiny dogs. Now if Tyke was a German Shepherd I would have went over there and petted him."
I heard this laugh that wasn't Brian's. "So Brian, where did you find this one at?" Kevin came walking through the door.
"Dude!!" I yelled. "Kevin Richardson is standing in your kitchen!" It hit me what I had just said. "And that makes perfect since because he is your cousin because you are Brian Littrell. Ok have I embarrassed myself enough already."
Kevin and Brian were enjoying Kel's oddness. "It's okay. We have seen worse." Brian said.
"So cuz, are you gonna introduce me or not?"
"Umm....this is....." Brian tapped me on the shoulder and whispered to me. "Enter your name here."
"It's Kel."
Kel soon forgot about my need to use the phone and just ended up talking to Kevin and Brian for a half hour. Kel had completely forgotten that Sheila and Kristy were still waiting in the car, too.
"Look, Sheila, if Kel doesn't come outta that house in one minute I'm gonna call the cops. How long does it take to make a phone call?"
"Kristy, your over reacting. She is probably just on hold. You know how complicated them stupid car fixing people can be."
"They're called mechanics."
"Talk to the hand girl!"
A car pulled into the driveway of Brian's house. Kristy and Sheila were too far away to see who it was. "Sheila, that guy is going into the house. I'm gonna go up to him and ask him about Kel."
Before Sheila could talk her out of it, Kristy had already jumped out of the car and headed towards the man getting out of the car.
He was at the door when Kristy got to him. She put her hand on his shoulder and attempted to turn him around. "Sir!" When he turned around she she fainted.
The man she had turned around was Nick Carter. "Oh gawd, Why does this always happen to me? Why can't the girls faint in front of A.J.?" Nick bent down in front of Kristy and tried to wake her up. "Ahh, girl, u ok?" When Kristy didn't answer Nick carried her into the house.
"Ahh, Brian, can I get a little help here?"
Kel heard Nick's voice. "Is that Nick?"
"Yeah its that bean pole. Nick I'm in the kitchen."
Nick came walking into the kitchen carrying Kristy in his arms. "Oh My God!!!!!" Kel ran over to Nick and Kristy. "I don't believe her!!!!"
"You know her?" Nick said as he laid Kristy down on the counter.
"Yeah she is one of my bone head best friends. Did she faint?"
"Yeah she did."
"God, she should be lucky you weren't Howie. Heck then she would have fainted so hard she would never wake up."
Kevin came over with a cup of water.
"I'm not thirsty Kev."
"Nick the water is for the girl, not you." Kevin splashed some water onto Kristy's face until she regained consciousness.
"Huh....wha...." Kristy looked up and saw Kevin standing over her. She quickly jumped up on her feet. "Holy poop on a stick! Kevin Richardson is in front of me!"
Kel just hit herself on the head. "Girl, you need to chill. It's only Kevin."
"Yeah, I'm the cool one." Nick raised his hand towards his chest.
"Nick, I'm almost a decade older than you, I was cool when you were still in diapers."
Sheila was losing her patience. First, Kel goes in and doesn't come out and now Kristy. Something was up she decided.
She hopped out of the car and decided to go up to the house herself. She got to the door and rang the bell. There wasn't an answer. She then started banging on the door with her fist. "Sheesh, what the heck is going on. Either Kel and Kristy have been abducted or ......or.....or who knows." She went to go bang the door again when it opened and her fist hit Brian in the forehead.
"Oh my god!!!!" Sheila exclaimed when she realized who she just hit. "Brian, I'm so unbelievably sorry. I was just......."
"It's okay. So can I help you with something?"
"Well, two of my friends......"
"Kel and Kristy?"
"Yeah, them. You've seen them?"
"Well one of them just fainted in my kitchen."
"Lemme guess, Kristy?"
"Yeah."
Brian invited Sheila in the house and they went back to the kitchen.
Kel was on the phone with the mechanic. "Jackson, look, we need the car. You have to get your bottie over and fix it. .......Ha? ...But Jack.....Ja......Fine, fine, bye." Kel hung the phone up. "Well, it looks like we are gonna be walking to the hotel. Jackson can't make it till tomorrow."
"Hotel? Are you kidding me?" Brian said. "Kel, you and your friends can stay right here. I have 13 bedrooms. I think I can find a place for the three of you."
Sheila and Kristy were beyond thrilled. They were gonna be able to stay in Brian Littrell's House. It was too good to be true. "Brian, that's very sweet of you, but i can't let you put us up for the night."
Sheila threw her purse at Kel. "Girl, speak for yourself and only yourself. I'm staying."
"Me, too." Kristy said.
"Well now, you can't stay at a hotel all by yourself. You're just gonna have to crash here, too."
Kel gave in. Before she knew it she was already changed in to her pj's along with Kristy and Sheila. They were ready to have, what the perceived as, the best slumber party of their lives.
Kel was laying down on the coach in her boxers and BSB tank top. She was so making herself comfy. Sheila was in a recliner in her sweats and Nike tee trying to figure out which remote went to the tv. Brian had like ten lying on the table. Kristy was laying on the floor in her silk pajama bottoms and her teddy bear tee. As soon as the guys walked in, they all looked up with attention.
AJ was strutting his stuff in a pair of flannel boxers and no shirt. Kevin was wearing some blue cotton boxers and a phat farm shirt. Howie was wearing red and white pajama bottoms and navy tee. Nick was wearing a pair of green sweats and a Hillfinger shirt. Brian was wearing blue silk boxers and a Nike shirt. They all looked da bomb.
Brian went over to the coach and stared down at Kel's legs. "So, are you gonna let me sit down next to you or do I have to sit on the floor?"
Kel made room for Brian so quick that she had to catch her breath. "Thanks, Kel." Brian sat down next to her. He sat down close to her. There thighs were touching each other.
Howie sat down on the floor next to Kristy. "So do you have any preferences on the movie?"
"Umm...."
Nick sat down on the couch next to Brian. "You better speak no before Brian gives us the lame drill about how it's his house so he picks the movie and then we end up watching 'Ace Ventura' again."
"Ahh....really anything is good with me."
Kevin sat down in front of the recliner Sheila was in. "I hope my head doesn't block your view."
"I can see just fine."
AJ parked his butt on the floor in front of the couch. "So did anyone pick up any MickeyD's?"
"Nah, we got pizza."
AJ looked over at Nick. "Gee, I wonder whose idea that was."
"Hey we got MickeyD's that last time. It's my turn to pic."
"Will you two stop fighting?" Kevin just shock his head. "We have guests and you two are going at it like a couple of kids."
The guys were saved be the doorbell. The pizza had arrived.
They ended up watching a horror movie marathon. They started off with the latest horrors, such as 'Halloween, H20', and 'Scream 2'. They were in the middle of watching 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer' when half of them were asleep.
Howie was asleep on the floor along with Kristy. Kel could have sworn she heard Howie say "Yo quierro guacamole" in his sleep, but she figured she was just hearing things.
Sheila was sleeping on the recliner with her foot on Kevin's shoulder who was also asleep.
Nick was asleep, too. The only ones that were still awake were Kel and Brian.
Soon the movie ended and Kel and Brian had decided to call it a night. Brian got up and stretched and then he helped Kel up. "I'll take you to a room you can stay in. It's a lot more comfortable than the couch. Plus you don't have Nick laying at the end of the bed drooling.
Brian walked Kel up to his room. "I have to get some extra blankets out of here, wanna come in and you help carry some sheets?"
"Sure."
They walked into his room and Kel was astonished. It was the biggest bedroom she had ever laid her eyes on. It was messy, too. He had clothes all strewn across the floor. She liked it. Heck that's the way her apartment looked most of the time. "God Brain, I love your room."
"Yeah the clothes were a great move by my decorator."
"Hey, I'm serious. I think it's great and the clothes......come on, it's so normal."
"Normal?"
"Yeah, normal. God you should see my place. I only clean when family is coming over. It's so worse than this."
"Don't you girls like neatness and order?"
"Girls maybe, but I'm a tomboy." Kel sat down on Brian's bed. "Dude! This is so cool!"
Brian was a bit confused. "My bed?"
"Duh! Gosh I have never sat on one of these before. It's so beyond cool."
Brian walked over to her and sat down next to her. You've never sat on a waterbed before?"
"Nope." Kel let herself fall backwards. "This is so much fun."
Brian laid back on his side and looked down at Kel. "You poor deprived child. I can't believe you've never sat on one before."
"Child? Do I look like a child to you, Elf Ears?" Kel tossed a pillow up at his head.
They got into wrestling and before they new it Brian was lying on top of her kissing her lips and her neck while moving his hands up and down her body.
He pulled her shirt up off over her head as she worked on getting his off of him. Soon all their clothes were added to Brian's pile on the floor.
The next morning, Kevin was cooking french toast on the stove and Sheila was squeezing some orange juice. Howie was chasing Tyke around the kitchen trying to get the morning paper from him. AJ was in the shower and Nick had just woke up with a major case of bed head.
Kevin dropped the spatula on the floor and Sheila couldn't but help look as he bent over to pick it up. Kristy noticed this so of course she had to make a comment.
"So Sheila, which would you rather be squeezing?"
"Huh? What?"
"Yeah, I thought so."
Kevin had a pretty good idea of what Kristy had commented on. He was a bit flattered himself. "Hey Howie, can you leave that dog alone so I can show Sheila where the other bathroom is so she can get started on her shower before all the food is ready?"
Howie stopped chasing Tyke. "Sure Kev, that dog is getting to me anyways."
Kevin and Sheila left the room. "Okay, you can use the one in my old room when I use to stay here. It's a pretty good bathroom."
"Thanks, Kevin." Sheila wanted to kiss Kevin so bad and she had a feeling that a simple kiss on the cheek would be appropriate at the time. So, she did just that.
"Sheila, would you consider it too forward if I amended that kiss?"
"No, I wouldn't at all." Kevin took Sheila into his arms and rested his lips on hers. It was a long deep kiss followed by a few short quick kisses.
They came apart with one last kiss on Sheila's forehead. "the bathroom is the second door in the bedroom."
Sheila walked into the room and closed the door behind her with the biggest smile on her face.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Nick had finally got the paper from Tyke and was reading the comics. "You know, I don't think Marmaduke can ever get old."
Howie and Kristy had started frying up some eggs and bacon.
A bit of the bacon grease splashed up onto Kristy's hand. "Ouch! Ouwie Ouwie Ouwie Howie!"
Howie dropped his spatula. "Are you okay? What's wrong?"
"Bacon, grease, splash, burn, Ouwie!"
Howie grabbed Kristy's hand and ran it under cold water. "Don't worry, you'll be okay. Nick go get some bandages." Nick left for the first aid kit. "Hmm...it looks like it got you good." Howie brought her hand to his lips. "There, a kiss makes it all better."
Howie soon moved his lips to hers and left her hand for his. He gave her a kiss that left her stunned and in aww. All the pain she felt from the burn was completely gone.
Kel had woke up and wondered if what happened last night was a dream or reality. When she turned over and saw Brian staring at her, she new it was a dream, a dream come true.
Brian brushed the hair out of her eyes. "Morning Angel, sleep well?"
"After that, how could I not?"
Brian kissed her. "We better get down to the kitchen for breakfast before the guys come looking for us."
Sheila was so in aww over the kiss she couldn't remember if Kevin had told her the first or second door. She picked the first.
She opened up the door and it was too dark to see into. She took a foot inwards until she found a cord hanging from the ceiling. She pulled the cord and it turned on the light. She then realized that she had walked into a closet.
She turned around to walk out, but the door had slammed shut. The lock on the door was on the outside. Sheila couldn't get the door to budge open. She was locked inside.
Kel and Brian came into the kitchen holding hands. "It's about time someone is up." Kristy said.
"Girl, its a Saturday. What do you want from me? I need sleep. Actually I require it. Sleep is good. Sleep is real good."
Kevin came walking back in the kitchen. "So, is the food almost done? I'm hungry this morning."
"Well, if you wanna eat whatever the heck Nick is cooking over there be my guest." Howie said.
"D, why do you gotta go dissin' me like that for?"
AJ came into the kitchen. "Hmm... I want bacon and eggs, pancakes, orange juice, mashed potatoes..."
"Let me make you breakfast." Kel said as she threw some pancakes onto a plate. "Bien concido."
They all sat down to breakfast and about ten minutes into the meal they realized that Sheila hadn't come back yet from her shower.
"Maybe she fell in." AJ said.
"I think I'll go check on her. Any one want to come with me?"
"Sure, I'll come Kel." Brian got up out of his chair. "Now, if we aren't back in ten minutes, don't come looking for us."
Kel and Brian made it half way to the bathroom before he pulled her aside to kiss her. "Sorry, just had to."
Kel kissed Brian back. "Don't be sorry. I'm not."
"Do any of you think those to are actually gonna make it to the bathroom?" Kristy said.
"Not really." Kevin took a big gulp or o.j. Maybe I should go see what's up."
"Well, I'd go, but the french toast is just saying `eat me Nick, eat me`".
Just then, the doorbell rang. "Nick, please, donn't leave your french toast to get the door. I'll do it."
"Thanks, Kevy." Nick stuffed a fork full of french toast into his mouth.
Kevin went to the door to find Jackson outside. "Can I help you?"
"Wow, your Kevin Richardson. Damn, if the girls are here, I feel sorry for you man."
"You must be Jackson."
"The one the only."
"Come on in and I'll get Kel to tell you what the problem is."
Kevin and Jackson met up with Kel and Brian on the way to the bathroom. "Ahem.." Kevin said. Kel and Brian just ignored it. "I said Ahem!" Kevin hit Brian on the head. "You need a hearing aid cuz?"
Kel and Brian pulled apart. "No, I can hear just fine. It's just that my ears have a special blocker on your voice."
"Ha Ha. Anyways, this is Jackson."
"Hey Jackson." Kel said. "Let's go get Sheila and then we can fix my car."
They all walked intot he bedroom and opened up the bathroom door. "She's not in there." Kel said in a shocked voice. "Where in the heck would she have gone to?"
Sheila was asleep inside the closet, but awoke when she heard the voices. She stood up and pounded on the door. "I'm in here! I'm stuck!"
Kel ran over to the door. "Girl just turn the knob! It works!"
"Kel don't you think I would have thought of that? The door locks from the outside, not the inside. I can't get out!"
"Oh, sorry girl."
Jackson unlocked the door and turned the knob. "Well, I guess I am the hero now."
"And I guess you have an ego now, too." Kel said.
Sheila came walking out of the closet. "Thanks so much."
"Anytime for a lovely lady."
They all walked outside and within two hours Jackson had the car up and running again.
It was sad. The guys didn't want the girls to leave and the girls didn't want the guys to leave. They knew that they had to go, though. It least for awhile.
Brian was on his porch with Kel. "Promise me you'll call me in every city you go to."
"I promise. Promise me you'll stay the same."
"Promise." Brian and Kel embraced as Kel started to cry. She just didn't want to leave.
Howie and Kristy were standing by the car. "Thanks for healing my boo boo."
"You know I'd do anything for you." Howie gave her one last kiss and than opened up the door to the car and helped her in. "You take care of yourself and don't hesitate to call."
Kevin and Sheila were standing near Brian's flower patch. Kevin picked up a flower and handed it to Sheila. "A beautiful flower for a beautiful lady." Kevin kissed Sheila.
"Gosh, I think I'm gonna cry."
"Don't do that. Just think of our walk to the bathroom. It was all good." He wiped Sheila's tears off her face.
"Can I give you something to remember me by?"
"Yes you can."
Sheila wrapped her arms over Kevin's shoulders and gave him a deep, long, soft kiss. "There now when you think of me, just close your eyes, and then you can remember that."
"Huney, I think I'm going to remember that forever." With one last kiss, Sheila walked to the car.
"Nick, man," Jackson said as he grabbed Nick into a hug. "I love you, man. I'll never forget you!"
"I love you too Jackson, damn, why do you have to leave me"
"Cute guys." Kel said as she walked past them to get in the car.
"I'll miss you to, K."
"Me too, Nick."
They were all in the car. Kel sat back in the drivers seat for a minute thinking of how great it was that the car broke down. Then she put the key in the car and soon they were off down the road.
The guys watched the car go down the street as they heard the sweet tunes of their own voices blasting from the car.
