Once again Reina turned to determine who the interloper was. This time she found herself face to face with a woman she didn't know. The stranger was about five feet four inches tall with dark hair. She was dressed in a business suit which marked her as a government worker not unlike the two men she'd been taking to. Reina had no idea who this woman was or why it was she felt she had the right to butt into an argument to which she was not a party.
"I really don't think this is any of your business," Reina told her.
"Actually Reina," Jonathan said. "This is Sandra Barnes, my girlfriend. Sandra this is my sister Reina."
"I've heard a lot about you," Sandra said extending her hand out to the younger woman.
Reina did not return the gesture, choosing instead to cross her arms across her chest. "Then you have me at a disadvantage," she told Sandra. "Because I've not heard anything about you."
"I'm sure that will change later," Sandra told her. "In the meantime, why don't we discuss it when we get to… Where are we going Jonathan to the Headless Horsewoman?"
Reina looked horrified. "Headless horsewoman? Is that supposed to be some kind of joke?"
Mulder, who hadn't quite made his way away from the spectacle in front of him, was as startled by the name of the pub as Reina was. He couldn't imagine Reina would step foot in the place considering the circumstances of her godfather's death.
"Reina!"
"Don't you 'Reina' me Jonathan! What makes you think I would step foot in a place called the headless anything?! You know what? I don't want to do this anymore I'm outta here!" Reina turned and walked away.
Sandra looked quizzically at Jonathan.
"Reina's godfather was murdered a few weeks ago. He was found, beheaded, in a park not too far from his home," Jonathan told her.
Sandra looked horrified. "The Headless Horsewoman would definitely be a bad choice then. I didn't realize. Otherwise I would never have suggested it."
"I know. I'll be right back," Jonathan told her. "Stay away from my sister," he said to Mulder.
Mulder knew a dismissal when he heard one. If he had any question about Agent Molestador's intent it was made clear when the other man turned to go after his sister.
"Reina, she didn't know," Jonathan said.
"Then I guess you should have told her before today," Reina told him.
"We were supposed to have drinks!"
"The operative word is 'were,'" Reina told him. "Imperfect tense."
"You can't just walk off like that!"
"I damn sure can and I will. Goodbye Jonathan."
"Reina!"
"What part of 'I don't want to do this anymore' did you not understand, Jonathan? Allow me to repeat myself. I don't want to have drinks with you anymore," Reina said without turning around. "Call me when you decide to talk to me rather than yell at me," Reina said as she walked away.
"Where the hell are you going?"
"Back to my hotel room."
"What about Sandra and me?"
"What about you? Go yell at Agent Mulder. You seemed to enjoy that."
"We need to talk Reina," Jonathan told her.
Reina shrugged. "Perhaps, but I have no intention on doing so now. Goodbye Jonathan."
