A great evil has been perpetuated against the American public. Investigations are to be done to get to the bottom of this. How could such a thing happen? It's shameful! It's scandalous! Heads should roll! People need to be punished for such a dastardly misdeed.
What could all the fuss be about? Are we talking about how the Bush administration hyped up (sexed up does not sound as cool with my New York accent.) intelligence claims in order to manufacture the public's support for war with Iraq?
Not exactly.
Oh so we're discussing the anti-democratic way Bush sneaks through judges when he can't get his way with the senate?
Well…No.
Okay, then we're commiserating on how the public is getting screwed by the industry whoring foxes who are guarding the public trust henhouse in the various government regulatory agencies.
Actually…No.
So what exactly are we discussing here?
Janet Jackson's boob appeared on TV during the Stupid Bowl (er I mean Super Bowl) half time show for a millisecond.
You've got to be shitting me. Talk about much ado about nothing. Surely, there have to be more important things which warrant investigation than a flash of breast so short the fact that a breast had been seen barely registered. (Except for those who seemingly have nothing else to do than zoom in on the offending mammary gland and slow down the tape so that they can better see it. This seems to be prevalent on right wing cable talk shows. I guess being in the Bush propagandist groups get you lots of money but no chances to see breasts.)
I have four words for these moralizing gits: Grow the fuck up!
This is not important. In the grand scheme of things this is the amoeba inside the flea that's biting the elephant's ass. You want to know what's really important? Why don't we discuss the liar, this draft dodging, using his daddy's connections to escape Vietnam and not bothering to show up for a year of his service time, constitution besmirching, imbecile who has basically gotten over 500 servicemen and women and thousands of Iraqi's killed on a whim. What's worse, because he can't just say, "I want to invade Iraq and have since Jan 20, 2001, let's go to war!" he makes up some bullshit about an eminent threat from a country whose army we'd trounced twelve years earlier. Now after it has become painfully obvious that there are no weapons of mass anything he tries to claim that the government's motivation for war was to free the people of Iraq. The only thing Bush is interested in freeing the Iraqi people from is the oil under their soil. Still, with all of this going on, the media is only interested in the fallout, no pun intended, from an exposed breast no one would have gotten a close look at had the yammering idiots on cable TV "news" programs not slowed it down and played it over and over and over again. I think I've seen my breasts less often than I've seen Janet's blacked out boob. Jesus!
When the hell did news programs stop airing, well news, anyway? It seems like what passes for news is strictly the goings on of actors, singers, and ball players. If I have to hear about Kobe Bryant's legal problems one more time on the regular news segment I think I'm going to start running amok.
Did you know that the pretender in chief signed into law legislation that will make it easier for the FBI to go through your financial records without subpoenaing your bank? Why bother with little things like finding out where someone keeps their money when one could just search every bank in the country.
Did you know about a nasty trend that has been going on in law enforcement circles? It seems that instead of dealing with messy little things that democracies are supposed to tolerate, like protests from dissenters, the police, knowing that there are groups of people heading for a particular location for a protest merely arrest people on trumped up charges before the poor folks can even get to the protest. We wouldn't want to deal with such things as people exercising their first amendment rights would we?
Why isn't the blatant power grab by Bush more fodder for the media? These are important items yet all that seems to get covered and discussed in the media is how bizarre Michael Jackson is. Personally, I'm not interested in seeing pictures of Michael Jackson, looking like a demented, looking-glass land version of a plastic figurine that's supposed to resemble Peter Pan.
And the FCC is going to let these media companies buy up more companies? These damn companies aren't covering the news properly as it is! This is exactly why the concentration of media is a bad thing.
I can't believe I'm even talking about this. I am thoroughly disgusted. And it's not because of the boob.
