Firewalker

Mulder, being Mulder tries to keep Scully from going on the case by suggesting she take some more time. Funny how he never takes his own advice.

Mulder:  Scully?  I don't think it's a good idea for you to go.

Scully:  Mulder, I appreciate your concern - but I'm ready.  I want to work.

Mulder:  Well, maybe you should take some time off.

Scully:  I've already lost too much time.

That is classic Mulder.  Their first X-File since she's returned and he's trying to leave her behind.  Typical.  And just try to get one Fox "I'm falling asleep at the window but I'm okay please ignore the fact that I've just moved onto the wrong lane" Mulder to take time off.  Mulder was rather well behaved in this episode though.

General Punkesque Behavior

Telling Scully that he didn't think she was ready:  Scully is a grown woman who is sensible enough to get a doctor's okay to go back to work unlike some agents I could mention.

Playing to Scully's sense of duty to justify a ditch:  That was just low!

Insisting on finding Trepkos alone:  Mulder never learns.  It's unwise to chase after a possible killer without backup and wandering around unknown areas alone is just plain dumb!
