Unrequited

Skinner:  This investigation has been turned over to C.I.D.  It's no longer our jurisdiction. Mulder:  Don't let them do this. Skinner:  Let it go, Agent Mulder.  You did your job. Mulder:  So did Nathaniel Teager. Skinner:  You found the man you were looking for, but now he's dead.  It's over. Mulder:  Is that what you believe? Is that what you really believe? They're not just denying this man's life, they're denying his death. [He moves closer to Skinner.]  And with all due respect, Sir… he could be you.

Ouch!  Gee that's a cheap shot.  But as low a blow as that comment was Mulder does have a point.  Actually, Mulder was rather well behaved in this episode.

General Punkesque Behavior

As I mentioned before, that "he could be you" comment was a cheap shot.  It was accurate to be sure but still a cheap shot.

Unprofessional Behavior

It is customary to answer with some alacrity when one's supervisor is calling.  Especially when you're supposed to be acting as said supervisor's eyes and ears.

Once again Mulder manages to make an impression by arriving at a meeting late.
