Scully: I still dont see the connection. Mulder: [picks up Gelman's laptop which is still on] Maybe that's the point. Scully: So, why was Gelman in there? Mulder: I think somebody obviously wanted him dead. Scully: You think this was a hit on him? |
To borrow a line from another episode: On what do you base that? That has to be one of the biggest Mulderleaps of logic I've ever seen.
Wasting time: At 2:45am Mulder's usual routine of playing Mr. Know-it-all isn't amusing. Get to the point already it's late!
Where exactly did Mulder come up with the theory that Gelman was murdered. From the looks of the crime scene it looks as though he was caught in the crossfire of a shootout between some drug dealers and the federal marshals. He has no proof whatsoever that Gelman was the intended target.
Leaving Scully and The Lone Gunmen with Esther or Invisigoth, whatever, while he went on a T3 hunt: I suppose it didn't occur to him to snap the handcuff back on the wench before he ran off which it appears he did while they were sleeping.
Call Dr. Scully. That's so typical. Along with her nursemaid and secretary duties I suppose she's supposed to play the role of his personal physician as well.
Stealing evidence from the crime scene: Not only is this illegal but it's also highly unprofessional.
Trespassing: That loud alarm should have been a hint that your presence wasn't wanted.
Breaking and Entering: As well as that alarm the fact that no one answered the door and that he had to sneak into the trailer by crawling underneath it should have been a hint that maybe you shouldn't have gone into the structure.
