The Red and the Black

Mulder finds himself at Krycek's mercy after trying to pick up a note on the floor. I bet he wishes he'd turned on the lights before making the attempt.

Mulder:  Cassandra Spender was taken aboard a military aircraft, as part of the staging.

Skinner:  Over the past five years I've doubted you, only to be persuaded by the power of your belief in extraterrestrial phenomena, and I'm doubting you now, not because of that belief, but because extraterrestrial phenomena is frankly the more plausible explanation.

Mulder:  Then I suggest you put that in your report.

Just as in the previous episode, Patient X, Mulder is sullen throughout almost the whole episode.  There's a fair amount of eye rolling in this one too.

General Punkesque Behavior

This is how people get into trouble.  Now this could be because of an issue I had with a movie I caught while on vacation but it seems to me that people would turn on the lights when they come into their apartments when they arrive home rather than bumble around in the dark.  Instead, Mulder foolishly tries to check out a note on the floor in the dark.  Which is exactly why Krycek was able to get the drop on him.

It's not generally a good idea to insult someone who is holding a gun on you.  Especially when the person holding the gun on you is someone you've used as a personal punching bag on numerous occasions.

Stowing away on the military vehicle:  That's definitely not going to help Mulder win friends and influence people.  In fact it landed him in the custody of the military police.  Again.

Unprofessional Behavior

Snapping at Skinner that the alien abduction scenario should be what he puts on his report when Skinner discounts his military explanation.
