Mulder: ... I just spoke with my ASAC and he tells me that Dr. Susanne Modeski is no longer wanted by the FBI. She's still missing, but the case has suddenly closed. What I need from you guys is to tell me what the hell happened last night. Byers: You want the truth? Mulder: Yeah, I want the truth. |
And thus is the beginning of a rather strange friendship. Even in 1989 Mulder had an annoying tendency to disregard orders and ditch his partners. I guess some things never change.
I guess being generally nosy is a plus as an investigator but was Mulder is really unbelievable. Was it really necessary to touch (and in the process knock down) the merchandise at the booth when we all know his cheap ass wasn't buying.
Mulder must have made one hell of an impression on Byers and Frohike by answering their questions with more questions. (Admittedly they did the same but with their suspicion in light of the story they'd been fed by Suzanne Modeski it's more than understandable.)
Mulder must have some issues with clothing. He gets hit with something that induces paranoia and the first thing he does is start taking off his clothes. What is up with that?
Okay, according to the file on Suzanne Modeski, the woman is armed and dangerous. The file also specifically says not to approach and that back up should be called immediately. So why the hell does Mulder go after her alone?
