Mulder: I just thought you'd be more... curious. Scully: Who lives in the house? Mulder: No one. Scully: Then who are we staking out? Mulder: The former occupants. Scully: They've come back? Mulder: That's the story. |
Only Mulder would want to stake out a haunted house on Christmas Eve. Most other people have better things to do with their time.
Dragging Scully to a haunted house on Christmas Eve to stake out a ghost. Naturally, he doesn't tell Scully why he wants her to meet him at the house or that the house was empty before dragging her out there.
After all these years Mulder is surprised that Scully doesn't believe in ghosts? Has the man any insight into his partner by now? He can't be that oblivious!
Walking off into the house alone knowing that Scully will follow him if only to get her keys back: What part of "I have things to do" did Mulder not understand?
Lying to Scully about taking her car keys: Maybe a ghost took them. Yeah right! Maybe a Punk ass took them.
What a Punk! Mulder drags Scully out too the house then when a door mysteriously opens and Scully goes to investigate he says "I've got your back." Yeah he had her back all right. Way back like 10 feet back.
Scaring Scully: It's not enough to drag her into a haunted house and tease her about her irrational fear but he has to scare her while he's at it. (More on the teasing next section)
Just when you think Mulder hasn't been listening to Scully when she was talking while on the stairs, Mulder proves you wrong by throwing back something Scully said about the irrational nature of the fear in her face. It is so annoying.
Name calling: A typically childish Mulder maneuver. (Funny as hell though but still....)
"When have you ever proved me wrong?" Scully should have slapped him for being such a smug Punk.
Theft: To make sure Scully accompanies him on this ridiculous ghost hunt he takes her car keys. (You can just tell by the way he reacted to Maurice's inquiry about how he got her to come with him that he took them.)
