Tournament of Death

Rules

If you cheat please do not sign up for this tournament!

If you do not intend to show up for this tournament please do not sign up!

 

Tournament
  • 2 vs 2
  • Best 3 of 5 duels
  • Starting Altitude will be 15,000 ft
  • Head to Head
  • Guns will be COLD on first pass
  • Draw will be random
  • Arena will be Death Match
  • Ammo (Limited)
  • No Altitude limits except for the start of each duel. No boundaries.
  • Match clarification is 5 duels
  • Duel clarification is 1 fight within a match
  • Tournament is limited to the first 64 teams who enter. There will be an alternate team pool in case some teams should have to drop out of the tournament before the starting date of (Pending) . The alternate pilot pool will be a random drawing as to who will compete should one of the first 64 teams drop out.

 

Starting of each duel
  1. All pilots must be within 500 feet of the 15,000 ft. starting altitude (high or low) on first pass of each duel. If any pilot is higher or lower the duel must be restarted.
  2. Head on crashes before the first pass is completed by any team members will restart the duel.
  3. All pilots must fly upright position until after the first pass of each duel.
  4. No pilot will attempt to maneuver in any way until after the first pass of each duel.
  5. No pilot will fire his weapons until after the first pass of each duel has been made.
    • Violations of rule 3 and 4 above is a default and you must forfeit the "duel" to your opponents.
  6. All pilots will type on their film * Match 1 Duel 1* in conjunction with corresponding match and duel before each duel begins.
  7. Each team will signal the other by typing "Ready" when they are ready to begin the duel. The first team to type "Ready" will also give the "Go" to begin the duel.
  8. Each team will fly away from their opponents when entering the arena for each duel until the 15,000 foot starting mark is reached and the word "GO" is given.

 

Disputes
  1. No film No dispute rule will be in effect for this tournament. (No Exceptions)
  2. No team or pilot will file a dispute against another pilot unless;
    • Film clearly shows a violation of these rules, Zone CoD, or Fighter Ace CoD.
    • Film clearly shows opponent is cheating. (these films will be sent to sysops for review)
    • Film clearly shows the use of profanity or unsportsmen like conduct.
  3. All disputes will be settled within a 24 hour period and my decision is final.

 

Notice of Match
  1. It will be the responsibility of each tournament team to notify their opponents to set time/date for their match. Teams must notify their opponent within 24 hours of receiving opponent match up notice. (email link will be provided with match notice)
  2. All matches and duels must be fought within a 72 hour time period of opponent match up notification. (email)
  3. Any opponents (team) failing to show up for scheduled match will be disqualified from tournament. If one team member shows and one does not the match can continue.
  4. If one member of a team shows up late he/she will have to wait until any duels that have started are finished before he/she can join. If you are late you may not join a duel already in progress. No opposing team will be required to wait for late pilots. However you may out of courtesy wait for a specified amount of time, and will be required to wait once you have agreed to this time limit.
  5. Tournament entries with invalid e-mail addresses will be disqualified. Please be sure to send correct and valid e-mail addresses when registering.

 

Connections (ISP)
  1. Any player losing connection 3 times within any duel will forfeit that duel.
  2. Any player losing connection 6 times within the match will forfeit the match.
    • Exceptions to 1 and 2;
      • That time permitting (72 hours) and your opponents are willing to reschedule the match.
      • That both teams are losing connection at the same time.
      • If  both teams are losing connections through out the match and are unable to complete the match. You may reschedule the match
      • Any and all rescheduled matches will continue from where they left off. Any and all victories and losses will remain the same as before the rescheduling of the match.
  3. Any pilot using the ESC button will be considered a kill, and disqualified from the tournament.
  4. If one pilot from the team is disqualified his partner may continue to fly throughout the tournaments but may not replace his disqualified partner. He/She will have to fly alone throughout the remainder of the tournament.

 

Code of Conduct
  1. All pilots will remain under the  Zone's Code of Conduct and the Fighter Ace Code of Conduct during this tournament. Any pilot using profanity against their opponents will be disqualified as a team and their opponents will be declared the winner.
  2. Any team failing to respond to their opponents email within the designated 24 hour time period will be disqualified and replaced by one of the pool teams. (No Exceptions)
  3. Any team after agreeing to a scheduled match time/date who does not show up will be declared in default and their opponents will be declared the winner. (No exceptions or extensions past the 72 hours)

 

Country and Aircraft
  1. A team may fly for only one country. You must remain with the country you register with throughout this tournament.
  2. Teams may fly any aircraft of the country they registered to fly for.
  3. Teams may change aircraft between "duels" but must fly what they enter the arena with for that duel. You can not enter, then exit, change aircraft, and reenter to fight the duel. Once you have entered the arena you must fly that plane.
  4. Once a team has registered they can not change countries. (choose carefully)
  5. Pilots may land at anytime after the start of each duel for ammo but will remain a viable target while landing, taking off, and while on the ground.

 

Victory
  1. Teams may only claim victory when both opponents are downed
  2. If a member of each team is downed and the remaining two opponents crash into each other   only the crashing pilots will continue the duel by restarting.
  3. If any pilot crashes at anytime he is considered a kill and is out. 

 

These Rules are subject to change without notice.

This Tournament is for fun only and no awards or prizes will be given out. This tournament is not a Zone sanctioned tournament. All Microsoft Zone Disclaimers are in effect for this tournament.
