Venison Soup

1 lb. ground venison

1 onion, chopped

4 carrots, chopped

4 stalks celery, sliced

28 oz. can tomatoes

28 oz. can water

2 beef bouillon cubes

1 1/2 tsp. thyme

10 peppercorns

1/2 barley

parsley to taste

salt to taste

Saute ground venison and onion. Add remaining ingredients, Cover and simmer for 2 hours.

TIPS

To take the wild taste out of meats some people soak it over night in salt water, buttermilk or sweet milk, it does wonders.
