I am a teenager known as SHEMP living in Texas. I graduated from Leander High School last year and am now attending classes at Austin Community College. Many people describe me as a weirdo, so I welcome any geeks, nerds, stoners, jocks, freaks to SHEMP's world. Hey, even if you're a normal person, check it out. Maybe what you see will inspire you to change your lifestyle....
I am considered a weirdo because of my eclectic tastes. Check this out:
My favorite movies are those from the 20's, 30's and 40's. They are: Yankee Doodle Dandy, The Maltese Falcon, The Egg and I, Bonnie Scotland, Key Largo, Citizen Kane, Thank Your Lucky Stars, It Happened One Night, and The African Queen. One movie from the 60's that I enjoy is It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World. Two 90's movies that I think are cool are Dick Tracy and The Mask of Zorro. Those actors that I like are: Humphrey Bogart, Laurel and Hardy, Shemp Howard, Peter Lorre, Gary Cooper, Eddie Cantor, Jonathan Winters, Doodles Weaver, and Jim Carrey. The one actress that I really like is Claudette Colbert.
The types of music I listen to are big band swing and a cappella. My favorite orchestras from the big band era are: Spike Jones and His City Slickers, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Ted Weems, Cab Calloway, and Bennie Moten. My favorite a cappella bands are Rockapella and the House Jacks.
The career that I would like to pursue is that of an alligator farmer. If I can't accomplish that, I would like to do something connected with marine biology.
I just recently became a fan of anime, thanks to my sister and the recent Pokemon craze. My sister got me hooked on Sailor Moon, but I like Pokemon a lot better than that. Once in awhile, I watch the TV show and I play the card game and collect every card I can get my hands on. Hopefully, I will have a Pokemon page up in the near future.
So there you have it. Those are just a few of my interests, but the main reasons that I am a weirdo in this society....
