We, the Central Region Consultant Team, would like to welcome you to our page and introduce ourselves to you. We hope to expand this page so that our consultants can make their own contributions and additions to this site as they discuss things near and dear to them.

Central Districts Regional Manager

Jeremy Palmer

Hi! My name is Jeremy and I'm the person who is responsible for the design and maintenance of this Web Site, I have also developed other sites which are on my home page. I have worked as a Private Consultant for Summit Systems since November 1995, and was promoted to Regional Manager in October 1998. I been the local consultant for 3 years and in that time has assisted in excess of 100 companies in the Central Districts (including local Govt.) with Summit Systems Health and Safety ~ Injury Prevention systems. I have also assisted over 40 businesses with our Human Resource Systems and Employment Contracts.

My engineering and adult training background has helped with the other types of Management Systems that my clients have adopted including: Quality Assurance with either Q - Base or transit NZ's TQM1, several with Fire Safety, RMA, and Risk Management. I am also actively involved with assisting in the design of superior safety systems and training courses for use in New Zealand by our clients. Other areas that I spend considerable time on: training our new consultants in the North Island, completing Safety Audits to ascertain the level of Safety Compliance for Insurance providers (re ACC changes), writing formal reports on safety compliance and accidents, assisting with company quality plans, and generally guiding my clients where I can.

Most of the clients listed on these pages are companies that I have assisted since 1996, however now that we have a larger team both Jon and Hugh will soon be adding their clients to this growing site.

Eastern Districts Consultant

Hugh Jury

Management experience includes: Government Department (Ministry of Defence), Private Companies, and Executive of Local Organisations.

Hugh had been the operating in the Wairarapa District as independent consultant for 2 years  and in that time has assisted many Companies and Organisations within the local region. The majority of work has been in the Health and Safety Legislation field. He was recently appointed as a local Consultant with Summit Systems where his vast experience and knowledge is employed to ensure a greater coverage of the Central Region.  Hugh is also involved in staff training on Injury Prevention as well as the design of superior safety systems for New Zealand. Hugh brings with him his fondness for all old things (that fly) and is the Chairman of the Sport and Vintage Aviation Club, on Hood Aerodrome, Masterton.

Taranaki Regional Consultant

Jonathan Stammers

Jon Stammers is a recent addition to the Summit Central team having come on board in December 1998. Jon is responsible for the clients in Taranaki and Ruapehu Districts, and as with all our team, wherever he is requested to offer his assistance.

Jon has a large degree of experience with Local Government, being with the Carterton District Counci, for 12 years. During that time he spent 4.5 years as a councillor representing the Urban Ward on the Administration, Works & Services, Resource Management and Recreational Services Committees. He was also a Council representative on the Carterton District Community Trust, Cobblestones Museum Trust, and Wellington Region Environmental Agency.

Jon's longest job was with the New Zealand Army for 16 years in the Signals Corps. Jon's specialist field was Electronic Interception and Analysis. He finished his Army career at the School Of Signals in Waiouru as Course Manager and Instructor to the Officer Cadet Training Unit.
As you can see we do not have a current picture of the young fellow, but like the rest of us, he's never going to see 40 again.
