"MY VINCENT SHRINE"
SELPHIE: This is my Vincent Shrine! Now, why a Vincent mini-shrine? Read what's below ^_^
WHY A SHRINE FOR VINCENT?
1) He's kewl! So dark and mysterious... that's kewl!
2) He doesn't have much of a role in FF7. He needs more attention!
3) Tall, dark, & handsome; I think he's kyoote. ^_^
4) A gun; another original weapon ^_^ And I meant that in a good way!
5) His limit breaks last the whole battle! The only time they suck is when your allies are both dead @_@
6) Deep down, he's really a sensitive, caring guy. He cared more about Lucrecia's happiness (when she ran off w/ Hojo) rather than Lucrecia being with him.
7) You can't help but pity him. He just keeps blaming himself about this whole Hojo/Lucrecia/Sephiroth crisis.
8) He used to be a Turk. I like the Turks, even if they are part of Shinra ^_^
OVERALL REASON WHY I MADE THIS SHRINE...
SELPHIE: In other wordz, I made a shrine for Vincent because of all those 8 reasons I listed, and also because he needs to be more appreciated! You don't hear much about him throughout the game, so this shrine just highlights how special he is ^_^
MORE ABOUT VINCENT...

NAME: Vincent Valentine
AGE: 27
WEAPON: Gun
HEIGHT: 6'
B-DAY: October 13
BIRTHPLACE: Unknown
BLOOD TYPE: A
DESCRIPTION: Vincent is a mysterious guy. Not much about his childhood and junk is known. All that we know is that Vincent used to be a member of the Turks, and his girlfriend was Lucrecia. She was involved with the "Jenova Project", along with Hojo and a few other scientists. Sadly all of this backfired and such. If you want to know more, read below. The overall of Vincent? He's a dark, mysterious, kyoote guy that actually is sensitive deep inside ^_^
 THE JENOVA PROJECT...
SELPHIE: The Jenova Project is pretty-much what started the whole conflict in FF7. Shinra Co. was so engrossed with finding an Ancient; one day, Professor Gast found a 3,000 year old organism that was believed to be an Ancient. They named it Jenova. Hojo wanted to take this experiment further by getting a live human being and injecting Jenova cells into it. They decided to use a baby for this project. Professor Lucrecia volunteered for this (eww.) so Jenova cells were injected into her baby before he was born, that is. Vincent, of course, didn't approve of this whole experiment, but Lucrecia still went on with it. Lucrecia even dumps Vincent, and for Hojo (eww.)! So this is the part I'm still pretty confused with. Hojo somehow gets a hold of Vincent and like alters Vincent's body (that explains his limit breaks), then puts Vincent into some deep sleep and locks him up in the Shinra Mansion basement in Nibelheim. But some people tell me that the only reason he's in the Shinra Mansion basement and in a coffin is because he's a vampire; but I really don't think so. Now I'm not sure if Lucrecia dies or not (is that her actually alive in the waterfall/cave or is that her ghost?), but if she did die she probably died giving birth to Sephiroth (eww!). Therefore, Sephiroth is a human being with Jenova cells in him (that's why he thinks he's an ancient). Now what's sad is, Jenova turns out not to be an Ancient afterall ^_^;;;
HOW TO GET VINCENT...
SELPHIE: There are 2 hidden characters in the game; Yuffie & Vincent. Vincent happens to be the harder one to get ^^ You can only get Vincent on the 1st disc (once you've visited Cosmo Canyon) and you can also get him on the 3rd disc (but the dialogue will seem funny ^_^). Okay, like what I said above; Hojo locked Vincent up in the Shinra Mansion basement in Nibelheim. That's where you go! If you don't know what building I'm talking about, the Shinra Mansion is that old abandoned mansion where all the trouble w/ Sephiroth starts. Now, go upstairs and to the left. On the left side, go to the northern room with the safe. Open the safe with this combination code: RIGHT TO 36, LEFT TO 10, RIGHT TO 59, RIGHT TO 97. Remember; this is like a real safe. If you go out of turn and land on 60 instead of 59, for instance, it won't count. And you only have a certain amount of time to open this. Once it's open, prepare for a battle with a BOSS called "Lost Number". This monster is pretty easy, especially if you're doing this during Disc 3. The Choco/Mog materia workz well. Once it's dead, examine the safe and you'll get key to the basement. Grab the Odin materia while you're at it. Now, go down those spirally stairs to the basement. The basement is not at the library; it's at the room before that. You gotta move a little north to see a door. Open it with the key, and you'll see coffins (*shudder*), the middle one containing Vincent (did Hojo think he died..?). I don't know if you're supposed to have a specific dialogue to get him on your party, but use this dialogue just to make sure. Once you open the coffin, talk about Sephiroth. When the coffin closes again, open it again anyway. Now say, "Who are you?". Now, leave and head out to the spiral stairs. Before you get there, Vincent will appear and you have a small dialogue about meeting Hojo. Voila, he's on your team! Remember, you can't do this during Cloud's flashback.

VINCENT'S MANUAL LIMIT BREAK...
SELPHIE: You know that waterfall at the Western Continent? Use a Green, Black, or Gold Chocobo to get there. You can also use the submarine, but it'll take a little hunting to find the underground tunnel to get there. Walk into the waterfall like how you'd enter any place in FF7. Once you're there (you have to have Vincent on your team), you'll like see this whole sequence with Vincent and Lucrecia. Now you have to do this probably before going into Midgar during the 2nd disc. On the first visit, all you'll see is that sequence. On your second visit, however, you get both Vincent's manual limit break (Chaos) and his ultimate weapon, Death Penalty!
VAMPIRE...?
SELPHIE: I've heard many people say this! Like, when Rinoa & I first got the game (she got it first, so she was ahead of me), she thought he was a vampire ^_^ she probably still doez, too. but I dunno. And when I was helping this one guy out w/ FF7, I told him that you'll find Vincent leeping in a coffin, he was all, "Vincent's a vampire?!" Hey, who knows? In my opinion, I don't think so. But hey! Maybe Hojo did genetically alter Vincent's body, and altered him into a vampire ^_^; Hey, it's possible. If he is a vampire, he doesn't drink peoples' blood. In fact, the only proof that he may be a vampire is that you find him sleeping in a coffin and he's ageless (he should be 57 now). And if he was a vampire, he shoulda died of starvation 'cause if he was locked in the Shinra basement, how the hezzie can he go out and, er, satisfy his thirst? ^^; Oh well, Vincent is shrouded in too much mystery, so we'll never know.
