Here are some of the issues I feel that will get Ed Bearss elected.
JOSHUA LAWERENCE CHAMBERLAIN MONUMENTS
Anyone who has been to Gettysburg knows that the momument to the 20th Maine Infantry is a pathetic rock set in the stone wall the Chamberlains and Kilrain fought near. Ed Bearss says Chamberlains heroics will go unnoticed no more! He proposes two Washington Monument-Size-Or-Larger Pinnacles in every state, plus ten in Maine and twenty in Lansdale Pennsylvania! I've never been to fond of Hennigh's and Associates Model Trains anyway...I'm sure we can put one there. And those tennis courts across from Penndale...we can raze them too.
NATIONAL HOLIDAYS
Our calendar is filled with made up holidays. Presidents Day? Columbus Day? Yom Haatzmauut? Now I know that now you're saying "Thats Israeli! What are you talking about?" To be honest, I don't know. What I do know is that if Joshua Lawerence Chamberlain hadn't been at Gettysburg we would live in a Confederacy and we would all be whistlin' Dixie everyday!! DO YOU WANT THAT? NO! So in conclusion, Ed Bearss thinks we need a Joshua Lawerence Chamberlain Day...no. Week!
