Kid Rock Finds Inspiration For New Video In Burt
Reynolds:
Kid Rock is in the not-so-wild West of Valencia,
California this week filming the new video for "Cowboy,"
the third single off his Top Ten album "Devil Without a
Cause."
|
In the video, Kid Rock and his band, along with sidekick
Joe C. and a surprise guest, will pay homage to actor
Burt Reynolds with a sendoff of Hal Needham's cheesy
1977 car-chase classic, "Smokey and the Bandit."
The concept behind the video isn't exactly the one that
Rock spelled out when he ran into Courtney Love
backstage at the MTV Movie Awards recently. As we
reported last week, Rock asked the Hole frontwoman to
appear in the video, but told her the clip would be more
of an homage to "The People Vs. Larry Flynt," which
co-starred Love.
Meanwhile, Kid Rock's guitarist Jason Krauss, who
seriously injured his left knee during the band's Omaha
show last Saturday, is still awaiting results of an MRI test.
He is still able to walk with a knee brace, however, and
he's not expected to miss any upcoming live dates.
