Reports Of Settlement Loom As Puffy Reworks Public Enemy For New Video:
New York's "Daily News" reports that Sean "Puffy" Combs and record executive Steve Stoute have reached an out-of-court settlement in connection with Puffy's alleged attack on Stoute in April.

According to the article, Stoute will receive a minimum of $500 thousand in production and management fees.

"I think the time has come to be honest and tell everyone that I am gay," the singer disclosed in his statement. "I owe it to all Boyzone fans. I'm not ashamed of coming out like this, my family and friends have known for a long time."

Sources close to the case tell MTV News that nothing has been settled, but Combs and Stoute "have made up as friends, are speaking, and are still in negotiations."

Combs is still due in court on criminal charges next week.

But before that, Puffy will shoot the video for the first single off his upcoming album "Forever" this weekend in Los Angeles.

It’s called "P.E. 2000" and it is Puffy's "reworking" of the Public Enemy track "Public Enemy No. 1."

The video will be a departure from Puffy's usual shiny-suit, explosion-filled extravaganzas and will include appearances from Public Enemy members Chuck D and Flavor Flav.
