The Black Crowes were on its way from Cologne to London (in order to open for Aerosmith at Wembley Stadium) when Harsch took sick. He was then rushed to a local hospital near Brussels, Belgium, where doctors decided that the keyboardist needed to be treated immediately. Representatives for the Crowes indicated that the group would most likely complete the Wembley date on June 26, but with an alternate set list. It was not immediately known, however, if the Crowes would be able to play at a previously announced benefit concert backing Jimmy Page at the Cafe Du Paris in London on June 27. Members of Aerosmith and Iron Maiden were also expected to pitch in for Page's special show. The Black Crowes were scheduled to remain out on the road for the next month, culminating with a July 30 performance at this year's Fuji Rock Festival in Tokyo, Japan. |
