Dave was scriptwriter on the comedies Bless This House, Terry and June, Robin's Nest and Keep It In the Family. Dave also wrote for the television series Mr Aitch. Created the television series World of His Own and The Fossett Saga. Dave wrote the screenplay for the film Rocket to the Moon and the 'Envy' segment of the 1971 film The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins. Dave has also done a little acting. As well as playing an 'Inquisitor' in Carry On Columbus he also appeared in the silent film The Plank as a 'Cement Mixer'.
