Was a regular face in the
Doctor films ...In The House,
...At Sea, ...In
Love, and ...In
Trouble.
She appears in one of my
favourite Disney films - One Of Our
Dinosaurs is Missing. It featured
fellow Carry Onners Jon Pertwee, Amanda Barrie, Deryck
Guyler and most notably Bernard Bresslaw.
Manages to steal every scene
from the multi-talented Dame Judi Dench, Geoffrey Palmer
and Frank Middlemass in the gentle BBC comedy series As
Time Goes By.
One of her most popular
television appearances was as 'Mrs (just the one!)
Wembley' in the much missed comedy series On
The Up. Fellow Carry Onner Sam
Kelly also had a leading role.
Witnessed an 'attempted
murder' and was consequently murdered herself in arguably
the best Miss Marple film - A Murder
Is Announced. Joan Hickson was as
superb as ever in the role of Jane Marple.
Gave a beautifully understated
dramatic performance opposite Dawn French and Rosemary
Leach in the BBC Screen One film Tender
Loving Care.
Has appeared alongside the
multi-talented Elizabeth Spriggs in two very different
BBC television programmes - the kids show Simon
and The Witch and the superb
adaptation of Dickens' Martin Chuzzlewit.
Starred in the BBC's Waters of
the Moon with long time friend and fellow Carry Onner
Dilys Laye.
Appeared as
Trigger's Aunt in the Only Fools and Horses special 'The Frogs Legacy'
