Wendy has played 'Pauline Fowler' in EastEnders since February 1985.
Played 'Miss Shirley Brahms' for 14 years in the BBC comedy Are You Being Served?. A role she returned to in two series of Grace and Favour in the 90s.
Appeared in the role of 'Edith Parish' in Dads Army.
A regular on the radio comedy quiz Just A Minute - and now on the television version as well. Wendy usually resorts to talking about her Cairn Terrier 'Miss Shirley Brahms II' to fill out the sixty seconds she has to talk for! And Wendy also likes nothing better than ridiculing chairman Nicholas Parsons.
Had a number 1 hit single in 1962 with Mike Sarne called 'Come Outside'. Wendy recorded the song again twenty-five years later with Mike Berry, her Are You Being Served? co-star.
