Photograph Resources

The most asked question I receive is "where do you get the photographs you send to be autographed?", so here's a list of suppliers I use. Sadly I've found no one who supplies a good range of Carry On photos at a decent price.

Peter Woodland
38 Verney Walk
Aylesbury
Bucks
HP21 8ED

Has a photocopied catalogue of black and white 10x8 photographs. They are good quality and the cheapest I've found at £1.50 each. His catalogue features a handful of photos of Carry On performers.
S & P Parker's Movie Market

I've been buying from these chaps for more than ten years now. Unfortunately 90% of the photos they sell are of American stars, but they do have a few nice Carry On pics - mainly of Sid and Babs. They also sell five Carry On photo sets. Catalogue supplements sent out monthly.
Greg Edwards
37 Blackheath Road
Greenwich
London
SE10 8PE
Has photocopied catalogue of black and white photos. Photos are good quality and cost £2.50 each. Has a few Carry On performer pics.
D & P Cutts
14 Scarcliffe Court
Sutton-In-Ashfield
Nottinghamshire
NG17 4AU
No longer produces a 'general' photograph catalogue, but does have a 'Bond' catalogue with a few photos of Carry On performers Shirley Eaton and Madeline Smith at £1.50 each. Perhaps if a number of us contact them regarding Carry On photos they may produce a Carry On catalogue sometime in the future.
Mirrorpix

www.mirrorpix.com

They have quite a few Carry On photos, but prices for 10x8 b/w pics start at £10.00 - however they do have a few 'unseen' shots which are quite nice.
The British Film Institute

www.bfi.org.uk
They have millions of film and television images on file. Will research 10 titles for free and then they charge for further research by the hour. Photos are expensive at around £12.00 each. If you are in or around London you can make an appointment to view the photos for the ten titles you are interested in.
Click here to buy and sell! I've picked up quite a few decent photos from eBay, the online auction site. A word of caution though - always check the seller's feedback and read the transaction details thoroughly before placing a bid!
'Memorabilia' shows

www.memorabilia.co.uk

Any other photos I've bought were from various 'Memorabilia' shows at the NEC in Birmingham. These usually happen every six months in the Spring and Autumn and feature hundreds of stalls selling film, television and music memorabilia.
