Not as good a hitter as his older brother Bubbles, Pinky batted righthanded in
his first four ML seasons, switch-hit from 1928 to 1932, and batted only lefthanded
in 1933. His flaming red hair inspired his nickname and his defensive ability earned
him ten years as a ML catcher, mostly as a backup. The Hargrave brothers are just 1 of 14 Brother Catchers.
