What are Organization Charts and how are they
created?
1) Organization charts are useful for showing the
hierarchical structure and relationships within an organization.
2) When you create an organization chart, you are using a program called Microsoft
Organization Chart.
3) When including an organization chart on a slide, you can use the
slide layout that has a placeholder for the organization chart.
How are
Organization Charts modified?
1) To modify an organization chart, double-click it to open the Microsoft
Organization Chart program.
2) To rearrange a the arrangement of boxes in the chart, select a box and drag
it where you want it to go.
3) You can also change such things as text, font, font style, etc.
How are
charts or graphs placed within a
presentation?
1) Charts/graphs provide a graphical way to display statistical data in a
presentation. When you create a chart, you are using a program called
Microsoft Graph.
2) How do I do it? To
include a chart/graph, choose one of the slide layouts that contains a
placeholder for a chart. When ready to return back to the presentation,
simply lick outside the chart to return to the slide.
3) Modifying the chart is as simple as double-clicking it so that
Microsoft Graph opens, then clicking any areas on the chart in order to make
changes.
How are
tables added to a presentation program?
1) Tables are added to a presentation by using the slide layout with a
placeholder for the table. Simply double-click the placeholder and choose
Insert, Table. Then the user decides the number of columns or rows wanted
to be inserted on the table.
2) To modify the table, choose Format, Table.
How are
shapes and objects added to a
presentation, used, and modified?
1) Shapes and objects can be added by using the AutoShapes and
Drawing Toolbar. Shapes and objects are used to add interest to a
slide.
2) When shapes and objects are added, small squares called handles
appear in order to select and resize the object. Objects may also be grouped,
which is when objects are "glued" together. Grouping
allows you to work with several objects as one object.
3) These objects and shapes can be manipulated by rotating,
filling, scaling, sizing, or changing the color and position of the shape.
4) Visual elements such as shapes and objects can have certain
applied formatting which changes fill color, line color, scaling and sizing.
5) These visual elements (shapes and objects) can be copied, cut, moved, and
pasted using the Clipboard or moved using the Drag-n-Drop
method.
How are
textboxes created?
1) Textboxes are added to a slide that does not have a placeholder (a space
reserved for the text). To create a textbox, simply choose the Textbox
tool on the Drawing toolbar.
