Anakin Skywalker, "Padawan Learner" (ie: Jedi Apprentice) falls in love, something not allowed by the order. Meanwhile, a threat from beyond involves his mentor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Senator (formerly Queen) Amidala, green Master Yoda, and the entire Galactic Republic. After adventures on Naboo, Tatooine, and Genosis, the Jedi are put into an arena in echoes of ancient Rome. Mace Windu and other troops arrive in the nick of time. Once freed, Yoda and the new Clone Troopers go to war. The film ends with the Dark Side gaining strength. It is revealed the events of the film happened to get plans for a new battle station to the mysterious Darth Sidious. Meanwhile, Anakin continues his personal struggle, as he secretly marries the woman who will bear his children.
