James Bond (Roger Moore) teams up with Russian spy Major Anya Amosova (Barbara Bach) to track down two missing nuclear submarines hijacked by billionaire industrialist Carl Stromberg (Curt Jurgens). In order to prevent them from finding out what he has planned to do with the subs, Stromberg sends top hitman, Jaws (Richard Kiel), a steel-toothed giant, after the duo to kill them. Matters become more complicated when Anya's discovers that Bond was behind the death of her lover, another KGB agent. Returning to the series are M (Bernard Lee), Q (Desmond Llewelyn) and the inaffable Miss Moneypenny (Lois Maxwell). Joining the series is General Anatol Gogol (Walter Gotell) as Anya's boss.
