Chapter 2
It was morning now, the time of day dreaded by all of the
walking-dead. Still, Salasia and her vampiress companions walk
freely through the streets of Orlando. People that were passing
by threw curious and intimidated stares. As if similar to a pack
of wolves, the five women walked in a group. Close-knit yet
enough space to be recognized as individuals.
"What do you suppose they are staring at?" Sarah asked in her thick British accent.
"Well, this is present day of the year 1999, so I guess the mode of dress and the way of living has certaintly changed." Talandra suggested.
"Oh.." Sarah answered knowingly and the group walked on.
The sun and its hot rays banged down on the multi-complexions of the vampiresses. Though it did not seem to faze the normal living people of Orlando at all, it was slowly weakening a certain five.
"We have to feed soon....this sun is becoming unbearable every minute." Katherine commented.
The others nodded in agreement. Salasia on the other hand was too seduced and wrapped up in the thought of the strange young man she met the night before. His striking appearance and style lingered in her mind with much detail. His warm touch against her cold skin sent an aura to her that she could not explain. The smell of his live skin was hypnotic....the deep and brown waves in his eyes were addictive.
"Salasia?...Salasia?" a faint voice cried out.
Shaking out of her deep trance, Salasia responded slowly..."Yeah?"
Amilla sent her an amused look..."I see someone has caught your attention.." she whispered.
Salasia grinned..."What was it you wanted?"
Katherine turned her head casually and pointed to a dark sign.. "We're here..." she grinned.
Talandra pried open the old-fashioned door and the five was welcomed by a cold breeze. Salasia chalantly lead the way of the others and made her way completely in the room. Dimmed to a point where the human eye could not see, the room reeked of a sweet aroma. Sugar and honey could not compare to such devine and rich sweetness.....the sweetness of life for all vampires...the sweetness of blood.
Heads turned to view the sudden guests and smiles appeared on some. Taking a seat in a velvet seated booth..the five awaited a waitress.
"I see very little has changed..." Amilla observed. That was true...the same ancient chairs and tables lined the four black walls and the old chandelier hung loosely above the room. Gold cups were soon placed infront of them. Blood brimmed to the top and their appetites grew.
Salasia watched as her accomplists devoured into the liquid of life and chuckled a bit. Finally giving into her hunger, she sipped it slowly..letting every drop coat her burning and yearning throat. Her eyes rolled backwards at the strong pleasure. The clearing of a throat interrupted the feasting of the group.
"I see you've made urselves at home..." he said. Still not making himself visible..he spoke again.." Welcome back..."
Sarah smiled. "Thank you Millus..it's gud to be back."
"Yes...I can imagine..you have been gone for a good century. " the man stated. Soon a dark figure in a designer trench coat appeared from the darkness of the rooms far corner.
"You still look as ravishing as ever my dear..." Millus said. Once again he could not be seen.
Reappearing to the ladies table, he reached for Salasia's hand. She bowed her head down slightly in appreciation of his complimenting gesture.
"In the welcoming of your return..I have accommadated a suitable living place for you all. I assume you will like it there." Millus explained. Reaching into his coat pocket, he pulled out a crisp piece of paper with words and numbers written on it.
"Your home will be located on the address written on that piece of paper....there you will find all the neccessities you will require including money and such.". he finished. Amilla reached for the infromation Millus laid on the table and read it over.
"How is the business Millus?" Katherine asked refering to their nice cafe' that they owned before having to disappear for a period of time since the locals men were on a rampage to 'terminate' all those of their kind.
"That was something I wanted to discuss with you.." he began.
"As you can tell times have changed..and to adapt to the changing trends of the present day..I decided to make your cafe' into a local night club." Millus finished.
Furring her eyebrows out of confusion, Salasia turned to see the reactions of her friends. They too seemed to be lost.
"Night club?" Sarah asked.
Millus nodded.." Yes..it's a place where young people today gather to socialize." he pointed out. "Such as dancing and drinking.."
The five didn't seem upset at all...
"Well..as long as we have a nice way of income.." Talandra commented.
"Oh yes..you will be very well paid. Your club is the biggest in Florida. Many of our kind go there to find feeds or just mortal companions. Velvet Seduction is a very well-known club." Millus stated.
"Velvet Seduction?...Hmm...very luring to the mind..." Salasia commented.
"Exactly..." Millus said before disappearing swiftly out the cafe's double doors.
Sighing in fulfillment...Amilla suggested they head on to their new home.
"I wonder what it looks like.." Sarah pondered.
"Probably like somewhere a vampire would live.." Katherine giggled.

Meanwhile in a hectic hotel room. The Backstreet Boys were laying around and basking in the time they had off of their schedule.
"A.J?....Bone?.." a Latin man with soulful brown eyes yelled.
With much dismay..he got no answer from the person he was hoping to grasp attention from. After thinking a bit..he finally resulted to waving his hands in the young man's face.
Slowly returning from his reverie, A.J looked towards his long time friend.
"What r you thinking about?" Howie asked.
"Probably a girl..." a tall blonde joked.
"Shut up Nickay!" A.J retorted while throwing the younger guy a pillow.
Wincing his deep blue eyes at the pet name, the younger man dodged the thrown pillow.
"So?....What is it your thinking about?" Howie asked now slightly impatient.
A.J drew in a deep breath and looked around the room to find the four faces of his bandmates paying close attention to what he was about to say.
"I was driving around after the arguement I had with Lauren and found a park. I was just swinging when all of a sudden she appeared." he said in a daze.
"See!! I told you it was a gurl!!" the blonde yelled triumphantly. Everyone threw him an annoyed look and A.J continued his story.
"As I was saying...she just came out of nowhere and scared tha fuck out of me..but I kinda talked to her a bit and calmed down. She's really nice guys..I mean...really down to earth.." he stumbled. The oldest of the friends laughed and shook his head slightly..
"Yeah...and including the fact that she was probably really cute.." he laughed.
A.J grinned.."Not just cute Kev....she was...beautiful."
" Yeah..sure Bone...whatever ya say.." said a brown haired man with deep and blue sensual eyes.
"I'm serious B-Rok....she's not like any gurl I've ever seen. She has this vibe about her I can't explain." A.J argued with a convincing tone.
"Fine..but did you get her number?" Howie asked.
A.J sat back into the soft couch and thought back. Letting out a disappointed grunt, he realized that he didn't ask her for her phone number. He slowly shook his head to answer Howies question and closed his eyes tightly to again recall the quick meeting between him and Salasia....

Amilla hesitantly reached for the grey doors knob and turned it slightly.
"Wow...this seems really nice.." Salasia smiled while finding her way in after Amilla.
Talandra nodded in agreement and glared around the stylish yet sophisticated living room. Comfortable black leather couches formed a spacious square with a Mandarian style table centered in between them. Old framed paintings decorated the walls and dark colored candles lined on top of everything insight while sending of a sensual aura.
"The bedrooms are really great too.." Sarah gushed.
Talandra plopped down on the inviting couch and sighed.."Now I want to see what this so called night club Millus turned our cafe' into is all about.".
Salasia sat down next to her and smiled.. "Then why don't we go and see for ourselves?..I mean..after all..we do own it."
Katherine wandered into the kitchen and gasped when she opened the refridgerator.
"This can actually store food...but it's so cold. Why would anyone want to put anything in there?" she said out loud.
Amilla walked over to her and laughed.... "Maybe so the food will not spoil.." she compromised. Katherine shrugged and they both joined the rest in the living room.
"So?...Is it agreed that we all go to Velvet Seduction tonight?" Talandra asked. They all looked around for each others answer and finally agreed to go.
"I don't think we are dressed for the occasion.." Salasia trailed while looking down at her dusty attire.
"Well...what else are we to wear?" Katherine asked absentmindedly while examining a small black box of some sort.
"What are you holding?" Sarah asked while grabbing the box away from Katherine.
"I'm not sure..it is a very strange box of some kind...it has these little button alligned on them," Katherine shrugged and handed over the object.
Sarah quickly pushed a big green one and the bigger black box on the wall turned on and displayed a little infant singing in a sort of white sack around its lower section.
"That's strange..I didn't know children could talk nonetheless sing at such a ripe age.." Amilla stated.
Salasia shrugged.. "Maybe these different objects are apart of the modern time. It's only reasonable since we surely didn't have these things long ago."
Talandra nodded in comprehension... "For our attire tonight..We could just go purchase the things we need. I remember Millus say something about money he left for us."
Katherine continued pressing the different colored buttons and found that the images on the screen changed when she pressed the red one.
"Well..first we have to find the money..." Katherine reasoned. The rest of the four gurls agreed and went on a search.
Set on a particular channel, Katherine watched as a young blonde gurl staked a vampire.
"AAAHHHHH!!!" she screamed.
The four gurls rushed to see what was happening and stared at the screen.
"She..she she..she's a slayer!!" Katherine stuttered.
"Damn it....we'll have to be careful.." Amilla suggested. Salasia watched the screen closely..
"Her name is Buffy...." she said.
"Buffy?" the rest said in unison.
"Yeah..that young guy said so..." Salasia stated while turning back to her friends.
"What kind of name is Buffy..for a slayer?" Talandra asked.
The rest shrugged and managed to pry themselves from the mysterious box and continued on their search.
