Contradiction

I'm settled and changing..
free and captive
contradiction at its best
afraid but willing
cruel but loving
I'm not like the rest


you can bend me..
please don't break me..
you can mold me
but don't turn
when I fall back
into being
just another soul
who yearns..


for the fast life
for the slow life
and the short life
or the long
words are pictures
cast in iron
poems written
changed to songs..
