Testimony Of A Believer

Broken Vessels

Broken vessels, as you know are usually thrown away. But there is one broken vessel that is not thrown away instead the pieces are picked up and put back together to form a better vessel, one that will never be thrown away or broken again. This vessel may be cracked or chipped but it is still useable. The broken vessel I am speaking of is a Christian.
You see when we come to Jesus we have been broken, that is why we ask for forgiveness. We have to be rebuilt into something new, something that God can use. Jesus said a man must be reborn in order to be saved, we become a new creation. We are made into something that will bring glory and praise to God. Through this we become a vessel God will use to do his will. I have become a willing vessel in my life, wanting to serve God. I have a few cracks and chips from falling, but God still uses me. The falls I have taken are because I would not listen to God, instead I would chose to do thing on my on and then I would fall. We all fall from time to time for we are human and make mistakes but we get back up, that is when you need to go to God for repair. God forgives when we fall as long as we learn from them and ask, God shows mercy and love.
I hear people say that they have done things against Gods will and that they can cannot come back. Some say God won’t take me back, or I am to ashamed to go back to God because I failed him. These people are broken vessels in need of repair, some are simply cracked. The only place they can be repaired is in God. God has not thrown them away, he is waiting for them to ask and be repaired and ready for use. Do not let pride or doubt keep you from getting what you need from the potter. He has the potters wheel ready and he is willing.
If you are not a vessel of God and you feel that you are at the bottom with no place to go, maybe you are ready for repair, maybe you are broken and need to be put back together. There is only one that can do what you need to have done and that is Jesus, he is the only one who can put you back together and make you useful. I pray you make the right chose.

Isaiah 64:8 We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
