Depending on God
We must realize that everything we have and are comes from one place, God. We must depend on him for everything in life.
God is the foundation of life and without a good foundation we will fall. Just as we build houses on a solid foundation so
that they will stand the test of time, we must build our lives on a solid foundation so that we can stand the test of time.
We need to build our life on a relationship with God being the corner stone and always looking to him to support us. If we
fail to depend on him for guidance and instruction, every enterprise we undertake will suffer from a weak foundation. Those
who choose to rely completely on themselves will find, that from an eternal perspective, they have labored in vain.
All through the Bible God tells us that we are to depend on him and he will meet all our needs. The problem is we don’t
want to wait on God; we want to do it ourselves. The only thing is we can’t, we are not equipped to do it ourselves.
I know this to be true because I have been trying to do it by myself for years without success. Even now after I know better
I find myself not depending on God for everything, so I have to ask for forgiveness more than I should. Pride causes most
of our problems pride is one trait that God gives us that causes more downfall than any other. Pride is like cancer it will
eat away at a man or woman until it causes eternal death.
No matter what you are going through, no matter what the problem God is the answer. He is the only one who can fix what
is broken if we depend on him and trust his judgment. God will only do what is best, even if it mean losing something or someone
that you think you cannot live without. We all lose loved ones, I did but I now realize that they are in a better place.
God has filled me with a knowledge that I must share with others in order to obtain peace and to spread his word that others
may obtain mercy and grace. I am building on a solid foundation in God so I can stand the test of time in my life. What about
you, are you building on God or something else? Don’t labor in vain, life is short and there is only one God. He
is the foundation of life in him all thing are possible.
Psalms 127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the
watchman stand guard in vain.
