Part Time Christians


There are a lot of Christians that do not know how to be a Christian; they are what I call part time Christians. They go to Church on Sunday but Monday they are back living in the world, doing worldly things. They do not know that it is wrong or else they don't care. God cannot work through them and they are the ones who when looked at by the world are seen as the world. Think about it if someone is a Christian and still seeks the pleasures of the world are they really a Christian? Or are they someone who thinks that by appearance can get to heaven. I was like that for a while, I would go to Church and even worked in the Church with young people but Mon, Tue, Thurs, Friday and Sat I was living for me, doing what I wanted to. I thought that by be in Church and working with the Church that it made the rest of my life ok. I was wrong, dead wrong.
The only way to get to heaven is to be a full time Christian one who knows the Lord and serves him daily. Not by preaching or teaching Sunday school but by being faithful and trusting God in every way. By praising his name to everyone you meet, by witnessing anytime someone will listen. You must also live a life pleasing to God by worshiping him and making him first in your life. You must be someone who when looked at by others appears to be different. You have an air about you that make people curious and want to know how you do what you do with such ease. That is serving God because if they are curious sooner or later they will ask and then God will take over and you can witness to them and maybe lead them to Christ. But not if you are only working part time because you are the one missing out on what God can do.
Ephesians 4:1-3
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation
wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
