Lost and Alone
Have you ever felt lost, or alone even when you were with someone you know or love? I have
several times. It is not a good feeling, and you try what ever you want but nothing helps. Do you feel helpless, unable
to cope? Well we all have at some time in our lives but some of us have found the help and hope we were looking for in Christ
Jesus. It makes no difference what you feel if you are a born again Christian you know deep down inside that Jesus is the
answer to all your troubles.
The Bible says he will never forsake us nor leave us. This means that no matter what you go through Jesus goes through
it with you waiting on you to ask him for help. Jesus is what we need to face this world and cope with everyday life. Jesus
is the promise of a better tomorrow, a brighter future in a world filled with turmoil.
We as Christians should be a light for others to see, if we are true Christians then we need to act like it. We should
not walk around like lost sheep not knowing where to turn. I see people all the time that call themselves Christians but act
lost in everything they do. They have troubles in every day life that they cannot get past. I was like that for a long while
in my Christian life, but God showed me that I was not a true Christian, that I was still living a sinners life in need of
help. At that time in my life I was not trusting in Jesus totally. That is the key; trust in Jesus for every need it is that
simple. We will always be sinners but if we live like Jesus wants us to and practice what we preach as Christians and know
we are not lost any more, then maybe we will be seen as a light that others may follow. That is all that is ask of us, to
be a light for others to see.
Lost people are around us all the time, at work, in stores where we shop, and in our Churches. They are looking for
a better way of life, for hope and it is our duty to try and help them find it. You and I should meet everyone with a Christian
attitude and a willingness to share Jesus with them. When you see someone who looks sad or that is having a bad day do you
try and help bring a smile to him or her or do you do as the lost would do and not care? Remember if someone had not cared
then you would not know Jesus. The only difference in Christians and lost sinners is forgiveness, we have it and they need
it and we need to help them find it. What if God had not cared and had not sent Jesus to die for us? If God cared enough to
send Jesus, his only son to die for us that we might have eternal life then don't you think we should care enough to share
the hope and glory we have found with the lost and alone in this world?
Be a light unto the world so that others might see where we are going and follow.
Acts 13:47 For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the gentiles, that you may bring salvation
to the ends of the earth.
