Sacrifice
His cost Was our Gain
Sacrifice is something that we all resist, but must do. Christians should be more willing to make sacrifices than anyone
else. After all there was a sacrifice made for Christians by God that can never be repaid. I am talking about Jesus the Son
of God who had to sacrifice his earthly life so that the world could have the hope of Salvation. God did not have to sacrifice
his Son for you and me he could have just destroyed the earth and started over. Would you have sacrificed your child for a
people who did not care or love you? If you were a Child and your father ask you to die for a people who did not love you
would you have suffered died for them? We do not really comprehend the value of God’s gift to us.
Think about this, you are the Son of God sitting beside your Father in heaven one minute and trying to sleep in a cattle
trough the next because you must take an earthly body. You can imagine how hard that must have been because you could not
be seen in your heavenly form, just as Moses could not look on God’s face man could not have looked on the face
of Jesus the Son so he had to take an earthly body and live an earthly life. Imagine what it would be like to go from hearing
the praises of angels singing to the taunting of men who would not believe and did not care. To go from paradise in Heaven
to a cross being beaten all the way must have been very painful in more ways than one. We will never know the full cost of
what Jesus went through, we can only begin to understand the incredible value of his gift to us. His cost was our gain.
The Apostle Paul realized how incredible the gift was that is why he concludes, “ If God is for us, who can
be against us?” That is why we should be glad to make sacrifice when God ask us to. I am proud to be a Christian
who follows God because I know how special it is to be saved and have everlasting life. Jesus said “ Whoever acknowledges
me before men I will acknowledge before my Father in heaven.” That is a promise from my Lord, and you cannot acknowledge
him in this world without sacrificing your life to him. I pray you will give your life to Jesus if you have not already done
so and do it willingly because the reward here as well as in heaven is awesome. If you are a Christian make sacrifices for
Jesus everyday, he did for you.
Isaiah 53:11 After the suffering of his soul he will see the light [of Life] and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous
servant will justify many and will bear their iniquities.
Sacrifice; we must sacrifice our time above all else for his Glory.
