Your Testimony
I have only been in the ministry a few years but I have noticed that there are two distinct types of Christians. One
type will enthusiastically try to teach their Bible knowledge to others. This type of person may be genuine in his motive,
but is not effective because he lacks an essential ingredient that is a necessity in order to be used effectively by God;
he does not know how to use his testimony.
The second type is the ones who have a genuine Testimony of what God has done in their lives; this makes them a more
effective witness for God. This was the case in the early days of the Church. The men and women were able to give powerful
testimonies of the events and experiences that could only be explained as a work of God. What we call a miracle. We should
all have a testimony of what God has done in our lives. This is what God desires in order for us to spread the Gospel. Each
one of us were chosen by God for this purpose, to be a vessel used to give witness of His power in and through everything
we do. When others see this power reflected, they are impacted because it can not be explained. God wants to put a frame around
your life with experiences designed to reflect the character of Christ. The events of our lives are designed to reveal His
power in and through us even though some are very devastating. Each one of us has a testimony and we should learn how to show
it.
What would others say about your testimony today? Can God be seen in your everyday life? Are there things happening
in your life that can only be explained as the work of God? Is your testimony one of only Bible knowledge?
These questions are ones we need to ask ourselves. Ask God to build a testimony of Christ life in you today that you
may be a more effective witness.
John 3:11 I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do
not accept our testimony.
Acts 10:42
And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge
of quick and dead.
Father I pray that others may see you in everything I do or say, that it may bring praise and glory unto your holy name.
Amen.
