Testimony Of A Believer

Christians Out Of Church

A lot of so-called Christians are not in Church and do you know why? Because they cannot get worldly pleasure out of being in God house, they would rather be some place else. Sometimes they do not come because they feel that the pastor will be preaching at them and might hurt their feelings. There are lots of excuses but you know what no matter how you say it "conviction" is what keeps Christians out of Church. When they do come God touches them and that scares them because they are not in control anymore. They cannot handle the power of God because they would have to make some sacrifice and commitment on their part. They are trying to live in two kingdoms; one of earthly pleasures and Gods and they loose at every turn.
You cannot serve two Gods and besides God will not accept you part way. He wants all or nothing, the Bible tells us this more than once. Your life will be total chaos and turmoil with no peace at all if you try to serve God only part time. I have heard people say that I do not have to go to Church because God is everywhere and I can worship anytime I want to. I use to be one of these but God showed me I was wrong. It is true that God is everywhere and you can worship anytime but we are still supposed to go to Church. The Bible says we should meet and fellowship, praise and worship God together. This not only helps one but all of us as we are able to lift each other up. If you do not go to Church you may miss something special from God. He may touch you and bless you as a sign to others but if you are not in Church your blessing may not be what you want or what God wants for you.
If you are a Christian why not come to Church and let it be known? Church only takes up about 4 hours a week, the sacrifice Jesus made was for ever, he suffered death on a cross for you and I so why not sacrifice 4 hours a week for him. The next time you are looking for an excuse not to go to Church think about what would await you if Jesus had found an excuse not to go to the cross.

1John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin.
